    On the Benrus the colors are the Romanian flag. They were Romanians.
    Fun fact, that’s likely an ETA 900. It may very well have a day ring under the dial. They bought the movement’s and often didn’t remove the day ring when they use dials with no window. Mine had covered day ring👍🏻

    Hi, Mike. I’m Mike. I’ve been collecting vintage watches for two years now. I found your channel by accident. Your channel is interesting. The Benrus you showed is from the Citation line. Citation was the high end of Benrus watches. That is what the tricolor symbol on the dial means. Belforte was the less expensive watch line for Benrus. The company history is very interesting. Wikipedia is a good place to start with the history of Benrus. I can’t wait to see it restored. Best regards.

      Hi Joan! Yes, watchmaking is my new passion. I'm afraid that troubleshooting an Indiglo dial might not be a very deep dive. It's either the contact in the pusher switch, or the Indiglo light panel has simply dimmed because of age. Virtually all of my vintage Timex watches with Indiglo have faded over the years. But I welcome the suggestion for Video topics… Let me give this one some thought, OK?

      Hi Robert, so you had to learn through necessity! I'm not surprised that the quality has dropped recently... Love the video. Thanks! Are you using two mics to capture your audio?

    • @WatchWithMike
      @WatchWithMike  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am, though they both don't always make it into the mix. I have an overhead condenser mic as my primary voice mic, and a shotgun at desk level to pick up tool sounds. Do you think it works? I sometimes wonder if it's necessary. 😁

    • @jonboy8181
      @jonboy8181 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I ask, because they sound out of phase slightly.

    • @WatchWithMike
      @WatchWithMike  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonboy8181 Ah! Thanks for that feedback. What I think you're hearing in this case is that, when I was recording this video I had a noise in the background, and I applied some heavy duty noise reduction filters. They can make something sound out of phase, and in fact I think that's how they reduce the noise. I continue to try to refine both the quality of the original recording, and the amount that I am filtering. It's difficult because my studio is in a basement and is susceptible to noise from HVAC, various computer fans and on occasion the laundry running in the other room! I always appreciate critical viewing and constructive comments, so I can continue to improve! 😁
