Hi, It's not a matter of superior or inferior, it's more related to what you as user would like from the machine. If you want a machine that is always ready to brew a good cup of coffee, MaraX is the answer. Take care!
@@LELIT_Official I don't understand, sorry. Does it mean that PL 62T is not always ready? I watched the videos and it's quite the same except that it allows to fine-tune* the temperature and see it on the display. In Mara X you switch between the preset* temperatures for coffee or steam and have to trust the system that the preset temperature is always correct, let alone that placing of this switch is a bit inconvenient. I am trying to choose between the two machines, could you elaborate, please?
@@D.Z.7 The Pl62T as you know has a PID, but it's readings are based on a sole probe within the "steaming boiler". You'll get precise steam temperature but still remains natural thermodynamic changes to the HX element itself in this systems configuration due to the passive heating. So, you'll still need to actively work for a stable and precise brew temperature, quite possibly through a less pronounced traditional HX steam purge\cooling down. 1:30 min : th-cam.com/video/THarjjY375A/w-d-xo.html With PID in the steam boiler you'll improve brew temp stability, but not as refined as in MaraX th-cam.com/video/3h0A868qu-8/w-d-xo.html With MaraX, you've basically have two machines: one that you have an accurate brew temperature within 3 switchable brew temp intervals and sufficient steam power for frothing milk - This is "Espresso priority mode". It is achieved by a second probe located within the HX. For thermal stability within the group head, what will uncannily change is the steam boiler temperature. Sometimes with surprising high pressure values. That's why it was used a steel boiler; to be able to take this temperature swings in Espresso priority mode. The steam boiler will act as a slave to the HX. You will get fairly accurate brew temperature within the 3 selectable ranges because of this slave behaviour, the probe in the Hx and the fast responding controller (2 times\ second temp readings). In this mode, for better steam (higher pressure) you'll have to work for it. Watch out for the steam pressure gauge. When it displays high bars, you can take the opportunity to have a more powerful steam. Basically it's the reverse procedure from a typical HX machine. The "other machine" is the typical HX- it's the "steam priority mode". This time the probe within the steam is the centerpiece where it's readings serve to maintain your desired, powerful and reliable\stable steam ability. Use this mode if you want the best and reliable steam power. The 3 temperature switch will work in this mode as steam temperature modifier. My advice: go for the MaraX, leave it at Espresso priority mode, enjoy the quick heating times and select the adequate temperature range to better suit your coffee bean needs.
If giving brewing temp the priority means being able to set the precise temp for brewing for an HX instead of an indirect temperature correlation, then I'm all in.

In Mara X you switch between the preset* temperatures for coffee or steam and have to trust the system that the preset temperature is always correct, let alone that placing of this switch is a bit inconvenient. I am trying to choose between the two machines, could you elaborate, please?
@@D.Z.7
The Pl62T as you know has a PID, but it's readings are based on a sole probe within the "steaming boiler". You'll get precise steam temperature but still remains natural thermodynamic changes to the HX element itself in this systems configuration due to the passive heating. So, you'll still need to actively work for a stable and precise brew temperature, quite possibly through a less pronounced traditional HX steam purge\cooling down.

With PID in the steam boiler you'll improve brew temp stability, but not as refined as in MaraX
th-cam.com/video/3h0A868qu-8/w-d-xo.html
With MaraX, you've basically have two machines:
one that you have an accurate brew temperature within 3 switchable brew temp intervals and sufficient steam power for frothing milk - This is "Espresso priority mode".
What a fantastic machine 👏
If giving brewing temp the priority means being able to set the precise temp for brewing for an HX instead of an indirect temperature correlation, then I'm all in.
but it doesn't allow for fine tuning of the temperature like in PL62T
Hello, thank you for your suggestion. Take care! LELIT Team
I’m considering to get this for home use. I’ve also read about it predecessor Mara as well. With this, what would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance
Hello, Mara and MaraX are two different models, the choice depends on your background. If you need a straight forward machine, always ready to brew a good cup of coffee, the right machine for you is MaraX. If you like a HX classic coffee machine with the E61 group, the choice goes on Mara. Take care!
@@LELIT_Official Hi, is there any additional features that X can do while Mara can’t and vice versa? Thanks
Hi, the most important feature of the innovative system of the MaraX is that it maintains the coffee temperature stable and allows a coffee extraction always and right away. Take care!
Can we alter the pid temperature ?
User will be able to choose warm, hot or extra hot temperature.
@@svm8058 I thought you might switch between the priorities for brewing, steam or in-between?
@@D.Z.7 Mara have two switches. First is for steam/coffee priority (two positions). Second is for temperature warm, hot or extra hot (three positions).
Can you fit the Bianca flow profiler on this? That'd awesome.
Yup. I haven't done it but plenty of people have.
Stefanus Goana talks about it on his channel.
A disposizione, Lelit team
A disposizione, Lelit team

Anyone can make a video with music and claim it's a silent pump. Prove it! Let's hear it!
Hello J K! We'll prove it, of course, once the machine will be available for sale in spring 2020! Stay tuned! Thanks!
so basically you fired the idiots who added brass boilers to your other machines. Right got it! Oh i hope they were the same idiots who put 57mm portafilters in your ANNA and GRACE MACHINES to force people to upgrade to the more expensive victoria to get the 58m. Interesting you only use 58m on your machines over $1595 canadian but 57mm below that when you know people want 58mm. Hell even a gaggia classic pro offers a 58 and thats only $595. Lelit, sort yourselves out! Your competitors are beating you. People want 4 things: Stainless steel boilers, PIDs, Gauges for pressure and 58mm. Is that really hard to offer all that in a machine under $1500?
Thank you for your message! LELIT team
24 minutes to get to the right temperature. That's a tad on the long side.
The MARA models normally need 40 minutes to be ready, so this is a very reasonable waiting time for a machine with an E61-type group, plus this PL62X is always ready to brew a new coffee ;)!! Thank you!
@@LELIT_Official yes, I was kidding, professional type machinery needs a lot of time to heat up. This morning I was meddling with the one at my downstairs bar and 30 minutes in the day it was still not quite there. I thought I put a ;-) but I haven't.
The appliance I have at home heats up in 2”, I brew some water, wait until it heats up again and I'm done, but I want to get rid of this and actually I was eyeing one of your models.
PL41 LEM indeed looks like a very good compromise between reasonable price and outstanding quality.
Carlo Piana how long does it take to heat up and be ready?
@@AYust22 If you are in rush, 10min is OK, I usually allow little more - around 15min.
