Thanks for the very usefull Video! Got a squeeking Sound after 1.5 Years at my Bianca. With this maintenance the grouphead Lever works silent now.... Love my Bianca! Great Machine!
The downside of an E61 is the maintenance, like owning a 60's car and having to grease the suspension every 3000 miles. But much more user satisfaction from moving levers and twiddling knobs than you'll get from just pressing a button on a more modern machine with faster warm up and better temperature stability.
Very informative! Quite unfortunate I need to do this, barely a month after purchase. It started when it was warmed up and I cleaned the group head with Puly Caff for the first time. I hope I didn't get a typical Monday's unit there. It's such a great machine, easy to service. EDIT: I have just read up on this and apparently it's fairly normal after backflushing with detergent. The squeaking is gone after turning the lever a few times after flushing. Reapplying lubrication is only needed when the lever keeps squeaking or does not stay in place after pulling. Please, leave a comment if you can confirm that.
Hi @Stefsinn, I have the same same problem- about 3 to 4 weeks after buying new, the lever started to feel course and squeaking when moving. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and take it there. Good Luck and lets us know. thanks
The extended manual says the same: It's normal after chemical backflushing for the lever to stick a bit and squeak. This is because the cleaner will strip away some of the lubrication. Mine does the same after backflushing with Puly but it goest away after around 5 shots. I'll aim to lube my machine 1-2 a year as mentioned here. I haven't done so as it is just a month old.
Is an adjustable wrench preferable to a ring spanner? And if not, what size of a spanner do you need - I see online that both 22mm and 26mm being mentioned. Thanks!
Thanks! One mistake I did was to not use any special fabric to protect between my wrench and the nut (some standard masking tape, like this guy th-cam.com/video/3aVLSoDZL1k/w-d-xo.html), so the bolt got some quite visible scratches. The metal is QUITE soft, so the shiny surface will be damaged when you turn the knob, even carefully. And yes, I did use my hand as much as I could to prevent too much surface scratches.
Great! This is a very useful video, as my Mara handle just started squeaking, and shoud be the same. What type of grease should be used? Any specific molykote? Also, do you clean the parts/spring with puly?
@@lhave_ but it's not mentioned this it's a food grade grease. And what isbthe difference between grease and compound? This 111 is a compound not a grease.
Hi, my machine is a new one 1 mth olf d maybe but i have done backflush using cafiza 2 times already havent lubricate the cams.. want to ask if i already have to lubricate it? Usually how long do we have to backflush using chemical if only 1 or 2 espresso per day? Thanks
@@lelitinsider2977 thanks sir for the tips i actually have finished lube the cams using this video.. and for the water is it ok to put epsom salt for hardness? Or do you have any suggestion to not make the machine scaling without reducing the taste of the espresso? Thanks 😊
Just a question: isn't that a bit too much of lubricant inside? I mean, there will be water running into that chamber which will take all that extra grease and sent it into the shower -> basket.
Grazie
It's what you'd use to backflush, and these parts would get a exposed to it at that point... So I'd imagine there's no reason you couldn't clean them with a short bath of it.
Друзья, спасибо вам за подачу очень важного и нужного материала, молодцы 👍🤝
Thank you very much for making this video - Incredibly useful to keep my MaraX working good.
Thanks for the very detailed video. I just lub the Lelit Bianca cam and it’s smooth as silk now. Bravo!

Thank you so much for your content re: Lelit. It is a great service to those Lelit owners who are DIY. Thank again.

Just discovered this channel! Awesome thank you!
Great Video
Thank you very much! This was exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you for the instructions!
Great video,, gotta say this guy uses grease like Paula Deen uses butter!
my bianca say thank'"s to you =)
How to adjust the pre-infusion at Mara X? My MaraX espresso machine starts the pre-infused directly at a pressure of 4-5 bars.
Do we have to remove the lower part, is only upper part enough to lube?

I water backflush daily and detergent backflush every month. How often does this lubrication need to be done?
Thanks! I have my Bianca since the summer of 2019. When will I have to make a lube of the group?
i usually do this once or twice a year
Lelit insider What about warranty? May I do it myself?

Nice 👍
Can i use molykote 111 for the cam?
Thanks
i is nsf approved yes
Do you have a trick to remove the dispersion screw? Mine is blocked.
Gratzie!

Molykote 111 is the stuff to go with.
I managed to buy a tube of Molykote G-1502, PM me for more information

Thanks, how about the top mushroom valve? Do you also clean that 1-2 times a year
Hello, not very clear what nut to undo. The first or the last, closer to the grouphead.

@@ricky120791 did you find an answer to this?
@@ricky120791 you should use a water filter inside the water tank. It comes ready to install Lelit filters or compatible…
Grazie tante

I think that water goes out the bottom, not the shower…

what size of group head gasket for lelit maraX? 8mm or 8.5mm?
8.5
Hi what size wrench I need
How often should this be done?
i usually do this once or twice a year
Can I just use some food-grade silicone grease?
yes, it must be alimentary approved, and for gasket
Which type of molykote do you use?
Please dont use this one, it's for bearings or industrial usage. Use Molykote 111.
Thanks for the great video, as usual.
Can I use Molekote 111 compound grease to do this as well?
if it is nsf approved yes!
Can I use CAFIZI to clean all of the parts in this video?
