- In this video we take a look at a very handy tire pressure gauge(GL-0801A) by AstroAI that measures tire pressure up to 150 PSI for cars, motorbikes or bicycles. Costing at 14,99EUR in Europe on Amazon, it is quite expensive compared to the price indicated on their US site.
Design wise it bears resemblance to other similar tire pressure gauges out there and nothing too fancy. It has a hard plastic body with a textured plastic grip and requires disassembly of its 2 screws at the back to change the 3 AG13 and 1 CR2032 lithium coin cell it uses.
The LCD display is backlit with blue light and can be used in darker environment. The gauge cycles through 4 different range units, PSI, BAR, KG/CM2 and KPA using only one trigger button. You can choose to long press to off the gadget or it has a 30 seconds auto-off feature as well.
Using the device is fairly straightforward but aligning the nozzle with the tire valve takes some getting used to. Overall, despite having being overpriced for what it is in Europe(8,99USD on their site is a fairer price), I feel that it is a good lightweight tool to have as a part of your maintenance toolkit and makes the regular car/bike routine check easier.
