The problem was that they needed a lot of time. Every couple had 30 mins and the others did it in time. But at the end came Kevin and Jackie and they took one whole hour for themselves😅. This was a live stream.

Yet considering my joke needed a visual aid, and this is a text format, the asterisks were actually the ideal way to have the joke land. If he knew how to navigate the internet, he would probably know that literally everyone does that, but he probably had to call on his 11 year old daughter just to help him log in and type his comment. **shrug**

I don’t. She gives Kevin a hard time even when he admits that she’s better than him. I feel like she deals with things in either a passive aggressive or mean way, never trying to spread positivity to the other person. And she really never embraces his different art style (just watch any videos from this series and you’ll see). Sometimes she feels bad and tries to say something nice, but it’s so obvious that she’s still disgusted on the inside. Then when he draws something she likes she acts all surprised. It’s so rude the way she downgrades his abilities or worth as an artist just bc he does things differently from her. And it also seems like she at times equates artistic abilities to other character traits; I get the sense that she thinks she’s better than Kevin in general- when that simply isn’t true. To me, he seems much wittier, funnier and kinder (for ex he makes it a priority to take into account how another person might be feeling during a conversation) than Jackie. Also, she just doesn’t show a lot of respect or care for the fact that he’s older and has different life experiences than her. She’s talented, but naive in many respects, partly due to her young age- and to me it seems like she doesn’t know this.
She’s also not the only one who does this. Honestly as much as I like these artist videos they stress me out bc I can sense the passive aggressiveness, judgment, ego, and competitiveness from some of the artists. I wish the videos could be more fun for everyone and not such a big deal. Like yes not everyone has the same skill level, but they work at Buzzfeed- not a major animation studio. And just bc a drawing isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it doesn’t contribute anything worthwhile.
Brent is usually the other person to do this.
@@user-pe2yx9kt4e you are over-thinking this whole thing. Jackie has that straight forward humour. and Kevin has that diplomatic humour. Opposite but very much compatible on screen. This has only become more evident with each episode, especially in the unboxing video they did together. Also, Brent is not rude. When has he ever shown passive aggressiveness or became judgemental or anything you mentioned. He is very friendly with Brent so he doesn't hold back little mean comments. kinda like how Jackie doesn't hold her comments towards Kevin. I think Brent has the superiority complex sense of humour (i'm perfect. haha). so he came as a rude guy.
@Fesjeklngs Csalkjv I think Jackie is just being sarcastic to Kevin. It’s evident how strong their friendship are, so I’m pretty sure that Kevin knows Jackie well enough to get that she’s joking. She seems like a comedic person overall and doesn’t carry herself too seriously which is what makes her captivating & interesting. But then everyone has their own opinion so that’s fine too.
