I'm really noticing that animators are better at keeping their line art super simple.
Becausw they do multiple frames maybe they got used to it
Darth Adamn I think the cartoonists have more real body definition and movement though!
Animators dont want the extra work of drawing frame after frame of a character with so many extra markings. (Unless you're getting paid for it)

Animators styles are more simple and fun, as they're used to animation, but cartoonists use more detail. Both are great, but Kevin's drawing tops them all 😂

I think Kevin has more artistic skill, but Jackie knows more characters
I can't tell if that's irony or not. I'm sure his would look better if he had more time (I'm not sure what he's made) but Jackie's is quicker and cuter
I don't think that Kevin necessarily has more skill, just that he uses more detail and has a more realistic style than Jackie.

They just have (obviously) different styles and Jackie being an animator is used to make quick, cute and eye catching drawings and definitely knows her characters while Kevin as a cartoonist usually must be used to draw slowly, with sketches and with a more realistic touch. Don't really think it's a question of artistic skills, they're both very good but the victory goes undoubtedly to Jackie for making it the most similar

My thoughts exactly. White nerds for the most part are watching this video, and an Asian / white relationship dynamic is *Everything* to them. To the rest of us who have gotten laid in this millenium, we are more interested in Brent's ability to nail just about every character, even the ones he seems initially unfamiliar with. Love seeing what he comes up with

@Angeł Myłæ anime is usually still done on paper tho... Then they scan and process the drawings, also a lot of the studios use hand painted backgrounds, you can see it on several Making of videos that are on YT
Forgot to specify it was the line work the one done on paper, colouring it's digital.

@@Anna-pj8te for example when kevin was using a lighter base colour to break the shapes in and tjen going back over in black to do the line art. Doing tjose small little shapes is a technique that os applied usually when drawing people.

cuz his lines aren't clean and confident, he most likely needs more time to work on it
He's probably used to traditional media. When I fist started digital art my lines were extremely shaky and unconfident even though I've been drawing for 15 years.

I worked as an animator and trust me, we draw stick figures when we're drafting. Drawing from memory really is like drafting.
