Interesting my female has Pushkaß vom Haus Himpel in her lineage. Quite far back.Was he a good dog?
Oh yes, he's in the blood of many tough dogs. He was very likely used to bring more toughness into the DDR. Can you imagine how good the old type west line was?? They bred them to be faster in more recent years, so now they look like Mali (almost).
I can only imagine the natural protectiveness some of these dogs had in them.

That's a very nice Bi Color male typical of the old class of dogs although he is a sport dog still top end material!
