This was so one sided. I wonder why Australia don’t have decent table tennis players.

@@g3capslol385 what? He was the last Oceania Cup champion. Won Australian National championship even 2 years back. As per Wikipedia, he is the number one in Australia and Oceania region.

@@g3capslol385 Please give credit where it is due. Hemings achievements are up on the history board for everyone to see. Yes I know the kid you mentioned and yes he shows a lot of potential and I wish him all the best, but as far as titles go he hasn't even won a lollipop yet. Yeh, and I defeated Ma Long once but it is meaningless without a title to my name ha ha.

@@g3capslol385 Couldn't agree with you more, let's all get behind these up and coming players, it would be great for all the hard work by people over many many years to finally realize our dream of one day having a good group of home grown players of international standard.

Heming missed quite a lot of balls with his backhand counters. You must start with your bat slightly lower than the peak of the bounce and then punch straighter towards the net, not across the ball. Heming do yourself a favour and give up trying to do those backhand banana flick open ups for now, they are not giving you an advantage. Slow yourself down and play with a lot more control and discipline. Your footwork patterns to your backhand side need a complete overhaul as you are using the bat first before your feet movements. To the slightly wider and faster ball on that side you must slide your feet BACK and ACROSS first to open up the area in front of you. Heming, you have a bad habit of stepping across to that wider ball and you then are creating problems with getting cramped up which leads to rushing your strokes on that side. REMEMBER, BACK and ACROSS. Study the other guy as he played a very relaxed and controlled game, nice to watch. After studying your game here in Australia my best piece of advice would be to start slowing yourself down, glide like a ballet dancer and not jumping around like a kangaroo. Heming if you read this I sincerely hope my advice helps.
