For gel pens, I love Pilot juice up 0.4 and dong-a my gel 0.4. But I’m mostly a ball pen girl and my all time fave is jetstream 😁
I always use Pentel energel , Zebra Sarasa, and then muji. All in 0.5 and in black

Sarasa pens are like my all-time favorite pens. It’s smooth and super comfortable. I have long fingers so I find it difficult to hold normal pens because of how uncomfortable it is, but ever since I found Sarasa pens, it helped ALOT. My writing speed and handwriting increased.

A tip I learned about smearing highlights is to highlight the page first and then write down the word so it doesn't smudge

I like to use the Pilot G2 0.5 for lecture notes because by the time i’m finished jotting things down, it dries so i can go over and highlight. I don’t know if it’s just me but i usually don’t highlight my pens immediately

I absolutely love how descriptive you are…. and the measurements it seemed like you felt as though it was a “dont judge me…” moment…. as you said measurements mean alot when you cant physically hold and try the pen…. those simple things could save people time money and effort! I manage an office for a plant nursery. I'm constantly notating! The pilot G2 is just my go too! And I like it bold.
I suggest you to buy the new Sarasa Mark On, it does not smear at all, even with the inkiest highlighters. In fact, it was made to use with highlighters. You don't need to buy a new pen, just the refill, as it fits in the Sarasa Clip body.

I absolutely love the zebra sarasa clip in 0.5 so pretty much the regular zebra sarasa. I have gone through so many and I buy an extra one when I go to my local stationery store!
My fav is the pental energel x and the sarasa clip gel in both black and blue
The Sarasa pens are made by Zebra.
That Pentel you called the Needle Tip is the Pentel Energel XM.
The size you must have been measuring and calling the diameter, at sizes like 3cm, etc, that must have been the circumference around the tube that you were measuring. Users usually talk about diameter. For measuring the diameter of tubes and stuff, there's a thing called a vernier gauge, you can get pretty cheap.
I think the bits called the pen holder, in the vid, are called pocket clips (even when it isn't sprung, like on the Zebra Sarasa Clip).
The study of whether something is a comfortable or appropriate shape or layout for people is called ergonomics. They put things like grips on them and make them a particular size, to make them more ergonomic but what is ergonomic for one person might not be ergonomic for you. Just a word you might not know (they also talk about ergonomics in things like workstation and car cabin design but it's used in the design of anything that people use, hope that comes in handy). Something can be comfortable, without being ergonomic, and ergonomic, without being comfortable. It's a useful word.
I still got some valuable information and some pen geek entertainment from your video, though. Just trying to help by letting you know some thoughts I had, as I watched.
Depending on how pen obsessed you are, or how deep your pockets are, you should check out the new Pilot Juice Up (aka Synergy Point in other countries). Biggest size is only a 0.5 and there are finer ones, too.
I love the ink in energel pens, but the pen is very delicate and feels cheap. So, I ordered the philography version which is a metal body! It should be great.
I love pilot g-2 pens! I love the deep color. I spent $16 on a Sarasa grand.... $16!!! It’s pink and sleek but stopped working after two weeks mid lecture 😭.

Just swap the refill, the gloss pink is come with the same refill as Sarasa Clip. Or you can fill it Energel without any problem.
4 Euros for a jetstream??? Wow! It's interesting to see how prices vary from countries to countries. Every Japanese pen brands are accessible in every stationery shop in Singapore and they are affordable. But Pentel pens are more expensive than Pilot, Uni-ball, and Zebra. 😚 I love Pentel and Sarasa! Oh and for ballpoint it's Pilot Acroball. 😄

The clip on the Pilot juice pen can be used to clip it to your notebook .
The pilot g2 also comes in very pretty patterns, I have white ones with foliage on them in metallic and I love them.

I had never tried muji gel pen and i saw good reviews for them. Im not gonna lie, they write smoothly but they smear a lot. I waited for a minute and it still smudged and really bad :( Sad thing is that i bought 10 of them and they will go to a waste sadly. I bought the sarasa mark on and they write really smooth and you can highlight right away. I use the zebra mildliners which I love. I wish muji didn't smear :(
ohh yea i heard sarasa mark is a good pen! i wish i bought that one when i was in japan XD and yes muji pens smear but i think it depends on the paper? i was so surprised when it didnt smudge on my muji paper idk what happened 😂
My favorite is the sarasa push clip in .3mm, I love how smooth it feels when writing even though its really thin, which is a common issue I usually have with .3 pens. But they're a bit harder to get hands on them because they're always out of stock online

UNI, ZEBRA SARASA, and PENTEL ENERGEL have the same ink cartridge shape and size
so i interchange these brands, i use UNI jetstreams body (full rubber body) with Zebra's ink or enegel ink 😌
By the way, the hole in the clip of Pilot Juice is helpful. You can attach it to a string or a lanyard to prevent loss, or you can attach charms and little trinkets to personalize your Pilot Juice pen!😊😅

I have always been using fountain pens, but then I used ballpoint pens and off brand gel pens, when I discovered that Karstadt has SOO many pens and notebooks, so I got two pentel energel refills and a Stabilo brush pen (I didn't have much money) and I realised I bought the pentel refills on 1mm. the ink smears and bleeds through :( but tomorrow I will do more testing and get a better one :D probably the G-2, I've had the blue one and I just want a black one.
Anyways
-uniball gel impact 1mm is smooth but bleeds through and smears
-pilot G-2 0.5 (or 0.38 if it exists the tip seems so thin) is smooth but kind of not, depends on the paper, doesn't bleed through (minimal ghosting) and smudges (I always highlight first so it isn't a problem)
-pentel energel 1mm is Soo smooth but smudges and bleeds :(

if you find the muji pen uncomfortable but u like the ink i recommend switching inks with the zebra sarsa clip and to not get confused put the yellow sticker that says muji on the pen if it causes confusion
The single downside to gel pen inks is their tendency to smudge or smear after applying a highlighter. The Zebra Sarasa Mark On is a highly recommended gel pen that does not smear when marked with a highlighter on paper.😊

You can find the pentel energel in many diferents bodies and there's acctually another brands than can fit the energel refills
I use it with paper mate ink joy gel bodies and zebra jf(this ink is quite better than energel:o) bodies

It depends on how much you write ! In my first semester of college I used a whole ink every week but now it lasts me around 4 months eheh

Zebra Sarasa clip 0.3 is my favorite! I also use Dong-A My Gel 0.3.
My favorite one is the sarasa pen
I've had problems with Piolet G2 ink smearing badly, but it's been a couple years since I've tried it, maybe they fixed that? Or maybe I've just learned how to write with a gel pen and not have it smear so bad. I have two favorite Gel pens at the moment Zebra Sarasa Mark On, and Sharpie S-Gel. Though both pens cover up the ink barrel which makes it hard to see how much ink you have left. Though the Mark On is a little more transparent, where Sharpie is just a solid black body. It looks nice and sleek, but again I do prefer pens where I can see the body of Ink to let me know how low I'm getting on it. But the vividness of both Gel Pen inks is amazing.
Seen the pentel black pen collection it looks damn good.
I don't use the pen holder but I can't use a pen without it lmao, idk, I just found it weird when a pen doesn't contain one xD

Thanks for this video, I was trying to find a good pen that didn't smudge. My final decision is to buy the pentel energel, I don't mind its body design.
As a pilot we use these pen holder every day. Apple Pencil comes with out the pen hold and that really sucks for us.
U have to use the zebra sarasa when they first stock up then it will literally be the smoothest pen in the whole wide world. I do find it annoying on how fast it dries up and because of that i always get a pack cus then I can get at least one pen that actually works.

Ironically, most gel pens are not gel. I asked a company rep about that and they said they are referring to the grip and not the ink.

I been using uni-ball signo pens they work well I started using kaiserctaft pens I love be them,I use black gel pens from different place but they all work well

As for me, I like Pentel EnerGel, Pentel Hybrid Technica, Zebra Sarasa Clip, Uni-ball Signo DX, Pilot Juice and Juice Up, Paper Mate Inkjoy, and Sakura Gelly Roll. They are my dependable go-to gel pens when I need to write notes while at home or in school (I teach high school students, by the way). I tend to forget important details, so I always jot down information whenever I can.😄🇵🇭☺️🖊️📄📗📑
