Thanks for all the videos. I recently changed my print head on a Roland vs 640i (the DX7). I also change out the cap top, wiper and felt. All parts were OEM. My test prints were coming back with less than 50% working properly. After sitting for the weekend, the first test print came back about 80% good and the second test print was right back to 50%. I figure I'm getting air in there somewhere, but not sure where. The dampers were good before I replaced the print head. Do I need to Charge them? I thought they would be good sense I hadn't messed with them. If you think charging the dampers would help, please let me know where to find it in the service menu.
Good informational video - thanks Mike !! Quick question - have you ever disconnected one of the ink feed lines into the top of the dampers and then inserted a line from a syringe filled with cleaning fluid - and slowly pushed on the syringe to carefully force cleaning fluid through the head to fix nozzle drop outs and deflections ???
Please steer clear of this method on the dx7. I only recommend as a last resort with any epson head. Pressure will likely cause the nozzle plate to come loose
Do you have a video on damper for RE-640 Roland printer and how it install head too? Do you know any Roland printer person in Pinellas County area? We need a repair person in the that county. Thanks
I need to try clog buster!, but in UK/England....you ship international yet? I need something vicious on a disgusting BN20 head that is clogged so bad I only get a very faint hint of cyan. Promised myself I would never buy one of these no matter how cheap....but here we are.
I can look into uk shipping. Yeah the normal eco solvent stuff just isn't quite aggressive enough and gotta becareful using some stuff as it eats the nozzle plate glue. Email me @ signworx217@gmail.com
Hi, thank you for the videos! I've almost got a VS-300i back up and running thanks to your help, but my light cyan and light black are still missing. I haven't been able to find a source for replacement dampers, do you sell these or can you point me to someone that does?

I'm wondering if you didn't lose an O-ring to the dampers in the old head. If you still have it, take a look

It's pretty much the same process, just have to insure that the choke valve is closed! VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Thank you for making these videos.
My pleasure
Do you need to draw ink back thru the dampers before reinstalling them in the print head?
I always prime the dampers, but don't promote it as you could potentially ruin your printhead if not careful.
what is your take on the Chinese Printer that use i3200 printhead?
I just bought one for DTF. They are a love hate relationship. Kind of impressive for the money. Just make sure you buy from source that will support
