    I'd like to see the same comparison outdoors, including both the numbers produced but also your thoughts on ease of setup and use. Great video! Liked!

    Loved the concept, great attempt at getting rid of all possible variables. Sad thing is no reviewers care to look at Spin Axis. This is a huge deal in golf since it makes such a big difference with the few of us who have large hooks or slices. If the difference is off the green vs on the green with spin axis, a sim device needs to be reviewed with these concepts in mind.

  • @buruskeee
    @buruskeee ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about the spin axis which is more important than the spin rpm IMO

  • @Sports4me7

    Would you say that the distance required for the Mevo+ and MLM2Pro to pick up shots is a good amount to the point where hitting into a net isn't super practical? Worried that the distance is so much that it makes more sense to get a ST+ or BLP just for the sake of being close to the net to avoid missing it.

    • @GolfersAuthority
      @GolfersAuthority  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No you can hit in the net and it will pick it up. The problem is that you have to have the distance behind you and in front of you to do so. If you are going to use it indoors or as a sim they are both good choices, however for a little bit more money you wont have to worry about the distances with the ST+. I think for indoor use the ST+ really shines more than the other two units, however out doors I would say the latter. So it comes down to price and how you are going to use it really

    So two GC3 side by side show less of a deviation in measurement?
    Seems like they are all basically +- zero deviation(saying that 100 rpm +- measurement is irrelevant)… if so just comes down to other features and price seems like to me? My 2cents😅.

    As mention below about spin axis. On your second last driver shot GC3 has 21R Mevo+ is showing left. On last driver shot. On last driver shot GC3 was 36R and mevo+ was nearly straight. So is mevo+ not accurate on ball flight?

    • @bubba22a1
      @bubba22a1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at the spin axis for driver on Mevo plus. Its not good at all.

    • @user-ic7ex3yo1s
      @user-ic7ex3yo1s หลายเดือนก่อน

      The spin looks consistent towards the GC3. Actually all three drives are offset by about 25-30 degrees. Makes me think either GC3 or Mero+ was moved or offset ahead of the driver test.

  • @tnaft9648
    @tnaft9648 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    MLM2 Pro in this test case was significantly better. As long as they fix the disconnect issues Rapsodo will have one of the most popular devices in the Sim category. Spin axis was spot on against the GC3.

  • @kennethj4984
    @kennethj4984 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Carry and ball speed numbers are not super important when you make these kinds of comparisons. The reason for the difference lies in ball flight. You have to have much more focus on the spin axis which is really the difference. Rapsodo and CG3 are largely identical, while Mevo+ has many that are shown as a pull hook, where on your CG3 they are actually pull slices. It is clear that there will be a huge difference in the carry on such a shot!

    Great Video! Make sure to highlight Spin axis as well.. as the Mevo didn't always have this close..

      i think the Rapsodo spin will probably be off similarly to the Mevo if you aren't using the special Callaway balls with the dots.

    Looking to ugrade how about a comparison of the BLP to Skytrac Plus. I'm leaning toward the BLP because it will run with GSPro. What are your thoughts? At present they are priced the same. One problem I don't have any IOS type devices. Do I need the basic for BLP
    to run with GSPro.

    • @GolfersAuthority
      @GolfersAuthority  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have the BLP but people have commented that the subscription is pretty expensive. I am not sure in terms of the Rapsodo MLM2PRO how the price compares for the subscription model. I do have the GC3 and it is the same thing, just painted a different color.

    Can’t believe the accuracy of the MLM2PRO

    First and foremost I love the review videos and the overall effort put into helping people choose the best launch monitor for their game. However, as a current golf instructor, you need to know that the unit is predicting the curvature of the shot correctly (spin axis). The Mevo + unfortunately showed very different spin axis numbers compared to the Rapsodo; much of the time not even in the same ball park. The distance and ball speed only do so much in helping people play better golf.

    Great video. I am considering both the Mevo and MLM2Pro. It seems that the graphics on the MLM2Pro are not near as good as the graphics on the Mevo. I am assuming that this is because the Mevo has the ability to use a PC which has much better graphics. Is this true? Also, I see the Mevo comes with a E6 license. I assume that also gives access to much higher quality graphics courses. Does the Mevo E6 license need to be renewed every year? My thought is that although the MLM2Pro is 1/3 the price but if I then need to spend @$200 on their premium subscription plus a E6 at $300 every year the Mevo might be a far better deal. Any thoughts? Thanks

      I’ve had the mevo plus for a couple of years. The E6 license that come with it is forever, no renewal or added price. It is a basic version, so just a handful of courses and game modes. But plenty good enough to have friends over to play courses on the sim.

    • @GolfersAuthority
      @GolfersAuthority  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just use the basic E6 license. I think it gave me the driving range and one golf course. I use it for both the MLM2Pro and the Garmin R10. Which is 1/2 the price of the Mevo. I did just get the Swing Caddie SC4 and the Golfzon Wave and will be doing videos on it this week

      In my opinion the value is getting pretty accurate swing data, impact/swing video’s and it’s portable. The golf simulator features are secondary. It’s pretty amazing package for $699.

    MLM2 Pro really nice unit but hitting almost $6 golf balls is a real negative when you hit 100 plus shots a day practicing. I have seen reviews on these and they don't last very long.

    • @SanjuroCA
      @SanjuroCA ปีที่แล้ว

      If I get the mlm2pro I'd be buying the stickers for the dots. Alot cheaper! And you can use it on any ball you want.

    • @GolfersAuthority
      @GolfersAuthority  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that is the downside. I think it would be cool to see how long they last before you have to switch to another ball

    • @safranic

      Essentially. If you can get GC3/Quad like numbers at a fraction, why would you invest more. Plus it’s the most portable.

    • @safranic
      @safranic ปีที่แล้ว

      Talked to a rep who said they’re working on other metrics like angle of attack which would change the game completely.

  • @safranic
    @safranic ปีที่แล้ว

    Rapsodo has killed it since day 1. The only difference which led to the slight carry differences was launch angle. Which was still within .5 degrees. Given the accuracy and quality of the unit, I all but got confirmation they’re produced at a loss. And the software is where they expect to make $$$.

    Rapsodo tech support team is a joke. They will ignore you and the many many problems with the product. I strongly advise anyone not to buy Rapsodo!
