I got to ride on one of these for my birthday last year. It was a little unnerving how smooth it flew. Sci Fi stuff for real. I hope to catch a ride on another some day. British airways, upper deck, economy. DFW-LHR
Awesome! I've had the privilege of being on a few and I can say they're absolutely incredible to fly in. It's just incredible how quiet they are. Never been on the upper deck tho, but I would love to. How did you find it?
Lift: Lift is generated by the wings of the A380 as it moves through the air. The wings are specially shaped to create a pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces when air flows over them. This pressure difference generates lift, which counteracts the weight of the aircraft and allows it to stay airborne. Engines: The A380 is equipped with four jet engines (typically Rolls-Royce Trent 900 or Engine Alliance GP7200 engines). These engines provide the thrust needed to propel the aircraft forward. The thrust from the engines overcomes drag (air resistance) and allows the aircraft to achieve and maintain the necessary speed for flight.
Weight and balance: The design of the aircraft ensures that its weight is distributed in such a way that it remains stable and controllable during flight. This includes the placement of passengers, cargo, fuel, and other components to maintain proper balance and stability. Control surfaces: The A380 has control surfaces such as ailerons, elevators, and rudders that allow pilots to maneuver the aircraft. These surfaces change the airflow over the wings and tail, enabling the pilot to control roll, pitch, and yaw.
Structural integrity: The airframe of the A380 is designed to withstand the stresses and forces encountered during flight, including turbulence and dynamic loads. The materials used, such as lightweight aluminum alloys and composite materials, are strong and durable while also being relatively lightweight to optimize fuel efficiency.
@@odzergaming no it isn’t. It’s 2-4-2 standard economy. There are no BA A380s with premium economy at the very rear of the upper deck by the stairs. The seats are clearly a standard economy BA product. I’ve been in this exact cabin location several times.
The front is pretty similar design, except they have slightly outdated business class seats. There isn't anything unique on the top deck of BA aircrafts.
This was after we were welcomed on the plane. Our flight was delayed 3 hours on the ground due to a previous flight rebooking everyone, so they let us walk around the cabin while they prepared snacks before takeoff
ive flown it, only one incident (not rlly) but heres the story: we were landing at cochi int. and everything seemed to be fine, but i thought something was wrong, and then a few seconds later, engine went full power and we started climbing, i knew it was a go around and i was correct as the pilot said it, we then soon returned to the airport and did a hard landing, still i would reccomend air india *BUT PLS CHOOSE AIR INDIA EXPRESS, NOT AIR INDIA*
I’m not one for the A380’s windows, you can’t really look outside much from the Upper Deck considering the windows are facing slightly up due to the curvature of the fuselage. But eh, it is what it is, isn’t it? Prefer the A380s with Trent 900s too.
@@sarveshram thank you for telling me about that. club world is the British Airways brand for business class knew this because I want to British Airways old JFK Airport Terminal 7 Club World lounge.
I think we all underestimate how big planes actually are

How they get these off the ground is amazing
the 4 engines are wicked powerful, that's how
It can still go pretty fast for a plane as heavy as that

For sure, Emirates and Qatar have much different upper decks than BA.
Agree
Who actually gives a fuck
I agree
Keeping that huge thing in air is not a joke

See the upper deck has economy premium economy business class and down deck had first class and beds

What it "actually" looks like? Have all the other videos I've seen of A380 upper decks been faked? :P
I caught few for my videos but never got to travel on 1 yet 😊
Can’t imagine flying for 15 hours straight
It’s actually better than most others! Regardless of airline, the A380 economy seats have much more legroom. I’ll post a video very soon
Thats only in british airways when you fly emirates there is no economy
That's so BA. No welcome at the top of the stairs. Just a hostie with her arms crossed chatting.

Is the seat you sat in first class? Its very large
Is this British airways? Looks like one of their outdated underwhelming cabins. Still a very cool plane though.
Yes! It is. It’s easy to tell.
For me its business (70 seats) first class (9 seats) residence (1 seat)
thats a flying cruise ship
It’s unreal to fly on!
A380 has economy configuration on the upper deck in Emirates?
I think no bc of the bar
