- SO its been a while since I've done a review, and today we have a special one! This is a MK8 Fiesta ST Performance Edition, there are only 600 of these in the UK and they come with a Quaife LSD and Coilovers from FACTORY! (along with some other specs)..
So let's see how this out the box track weapon performs!

Colour is a nice throwback to the old Focus ST
What do you mean ?
I think he's referring to the Electric Orange paintwork that came on the 5-pot MK2 ST.
The colour on this car is 'Tieforange' which was originally on the Heritage Edition MK3 RS to commemorate 50 years of the MK1 Escort in 2018.

Had my st3 nearly 3years and can't fault it I have the mountune 235 kit and its really all you need in a car the diff makes the difference can plant the throttle mid corner and it just grips love it

"Wow what a review, you really know your cars." This is what I would be saying if you knew anything about this car or the way any car drives. Solid review lad, lol. So many comments are stupidly inaccurate.
Ford have made great hatchback chassis for year. A lot of the modern hot hatches are mu h more tramliney/twitchy, big wheels, small car plus firm suspension.
None of the standard interior is orange, the owner has added them and there is no plate with the build number either ☹️. I own one and it’s great 😎 good review 👍

My mate has a mk8 and the cornering as a standard car honestly is unreal he has the performance pack on his has a few more toys than this one along with a full exhaust, induction and a map and it change the car so much gave it the extra power up top instead of slacking off after 5kish and its also alot more punchy with the power at all rev ranges if you get chance to get in one that is mapped do it the difference is night and day 🤟

Your right about the mk7 interior , too many angles etc . Thats one reason the lad had a , again bright orange , 208 Peugeot Sport GTi instead . We drove both and preferred the Pug
I have a 208 GTi Peugeot sport, much better and faster than the fiesta ST. Although I still like Fiesta ST's alot I just preferred the Peugeot. Oh by the way still a nice car Rachel ,like the orange bits !
The coilovers give a better ride than the standard St suspension . I upgraded 4 months ago. The ford coilovers are the KW V3s with fully adjustable bump and rebound settings aswell as adjustable height

Have you tried softening them to their softest settings?
These coilovers are soon to be available for my mk4 Focus ST, and I'm considering retro fitting them.
At high speed over a series of sharp bumps, my Mk4 Focus ST wants to pummel the bumps into submission, and lift you out of the seat.
I'm very keen to know how these handle Sharp bumps at high speed.
You need an induction kit and a map to be able to hear the turbo more... kinda sucks you have to do that

The steering rack on the MK8 ST and ST-line is the fastest rack ford have ever put into a car, like 1 and a half lock to lock, also have electronic assisted steering racks 👌
the seats look nice the back end as well' it's the front that i hate on the new fiestas, the question is how long will it be be for it blows up
the steering makes more sense when pushing close to the limit and the coilovers like to be going over 45mph, under that they don't really glide.
What did you find better/funner Rachaels ST or Caits S1 ?
ST 1,2,3 does not change the size/style of the wheels, the performance pack does that as well as add an LSD. Anyway, good vid.

That reg looks familiar sure I saw this in alderley edge when Adam C was there it was in a convoy of fiesta ST, might be wrong though stunning car
I do like the colour on the outside not sure if its the camera but wasn't so keen on all the orange inside , nice car though overall
Also the ST has flat foot shift when in sport mode mate, should've had a go with that

There are two limited edition models of the MK8 ST. The MK7 had the ST200.

They are a decent car, but... throwing into corners are good. Power wise not amazing... pop a map on will make it more fun. But with a 3 cylinder 1.5... Will be a piston forging job to take it further then a stage 1 to be safe. I personally prefer the old st150s so much fun. Not quick but fun to drive.

The specs on these fiestas is pretty unreal for the money. Ford have hit the nail on the head.
I test drove the MK7 st180 and was left feeling a little dissapointed, had next to no character, didn't feel particularly engaging, and very electrical. Fantastic car nonetheless . . .just not for me, felt bland.
A friend of mine had a mk6.5 zetec s mr155. And I found that far more enjoyable.

A quaife diff is a normal torque biasing LSD
Not all diffs are limited slip. 99% of cars on the roads are open diffs. Locking diffs will send power to the outside wheel, opposed to letting it spin away on the inside.
I give my opinion on this before I watched the video then deleted it.. I was basing it of the last fiesta shit box, this 1 seems much better, if anybody puts a pop a bang map on it jump of a cliff, I like it and the interior but am not a fan of a 3 cylinder engine what so ever, I feel if you got it mapped etc it wouldn't up 2 long
Engines are getting far too small now to really excite me really. I personally managed to get my hands on my dream car the mk2 focus st225 with the 5 pot 2.5l engine and love it and its a beast even at just over 300bhp and have so much head room if I want with that size of engine.
Orange is the colour for it.
