SO yes, it came to a total of £1.5K! and thats with a massive discount on labour, and without lots of the parts, but at least i know its been done by Dave, and Dave is one smart arse geezer.

Understandable enough. I do all my own work because I find it hard to be prepared for rising costs when having it done elsewhere. But I have plenty of skills and an equipped home workshop.
I had a pair of bumpers rechromed a few years ago and a quoted price nearly tripled. But the original quote was verbal and not in writing so I had no proof. The chrome job done was superb though and I managed to pay straight away. And I went back to have more done after.

diesel92kj1 obviously Dave asked lee if he could do the extra work he wouldn’t have just done it, it’s the same if you go to any garage they will ask the customer firsthand otherwise it could put them out of pocket.

Lee Lockwood yes mate I understand, bills for cars can be extortionate but at least now you have something that feels like it’s had money spent on it. It did seem like you was taking the piss because of what the cost came to but who wouldn’t be it is a lot of money. Not many garages would let you pay in instalments aswell as the discounted price so remember that 😆

It is a pro shop. The man does work for racing teams. It's not cheap. Labour is not cheap. Parts for evos Also a quote is just that an estimate. Also he didn't double it without his knowledge Lee was there when the issues were found and agreed on the work being done. Therefore accepted price would be higher. I don't know full context, but from what i can gather is that the mechanic underestimated the amount of time the work would take (more issues might have been sorted) and Lee expected less. Based on the last video where he is with him i was expecting between 3-5k considering the shop where he brought it to. It's realistic to expect pro work done at high premiums.

Evo coming along nicely and trust me 1400 is cheap but when you got bills and stuff to pay it still hurts. Keep up the good content

Great work, great job and nice to see her back on the road. The price I the price at the end of the day and for a trained mechanics with that experience I’d be well chuffed at £1419 I’d even leave a tip for that workmanship. Not many genuine people around but Dave has certainly worked his magic on your car enjoy and now you know safe in the knowledge it ain’t going knowhere. I’m sure eva will be around for many a blast out on the open roads or track enjoy lee I would
