Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. Ya know, as I was watching Nate make coffee for Kara for the billionth time, I thought how nice it is to have a positive relationship example. From Nate making coffee every morning to Kara supporting Nate during the Colorado bike adventure, it is really nice to see how they serve one another. Also, I like NeedToBreath too!

Also, while Kara was editing those videos, Nate was biking 500 miles, so not like he wasn't supporting the business that they both live off. I discovered this channel roughly a month in to the pandemic. I think the very first video I watched was their Atlantic cruise. I have since now seen every single one of their videos. I genuinely wanted to say a huge thank you to Kara and Nate. Your channel was SUCH an escape for me this year. I'm someone who loves to travel, and see new things, and not having the option this year was heart breaking. But I truly felt like I was able to travel through all of their videos; the way you film everything is so true and real to each place. And they've also inspired me to want to travel to places I never had even thought of! (Once the world goes back to normal). I'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this way, so TRULY thank you guys, for providing me with some peace of mind in this crazy year. Merry Christmas and see you guys in the new year!

This is exactly how I look at 2020! I am grateful. Life sends us in a 100 directions at once, the older you get more is thrown at you. To be forced to slow down made me focus on true goals, made me get creative and reflective. Made me look towards the future with furious gusto.
I know I have a lot to be thankful for...I have been one of the lucky ones to finish the 2020 crossing line.
I write a note every year on a chalk mirror that you see as soon as you walk into my home...this year was “lifestyle in action.” And it literally was regardless if I didn’t go anywhere or do much...I still accomplished great heights. Things that always got put on the back burner because of this or that.
I’m going into 2021 blindly. No plans. No direction...yet having one expectation...I will keep walking on this same path...this glorious and sometimes mischievous path.
For some reason I started tearing up when Nate said that this was the last video of 2020. But 2021 is coming and hopefully it is going to better.

The first video I saw was Kara flipping into the waters of Antarctica. Crazy, I thought, but I've been captivated ever since. I learned from your positivity and optimism. You guys are risk takers, and I learned from that too. Most importantly, the value of taking them a little more, wisely, and setting and going after your goals. I admire how you guys utilize a purchase. You will use it to its fullest value and/or potential, such as the van and Nate's bike. When I thought you guys were done for 2020, you popped out this last video. It came a day after my birthday and for me that was a gift. Your positive energy, authenticity, kindness, and unique and beautiful bond are what make these videos special and untouchable. Thank you.

I wanted to thank you for all your hard work and sharing your travels with someone who's stuck at home because of health and money issues. I wish you both much success in the coming year and look forward to even more adventures and laughs. It's been touching to see your displays of love for each other. I think loving and caring for each other can get us all through these trying times.

After 4 years of travel and Vlogging you hit 1 MILLION subscribers at your 100th country. Now only 10 months after posting that Vlog you are at nearly 2 MILLION subscribers (1.96)!!! 4 years to 1 Mill, less than a year to (almost) another 1 Mill! That has to be an incredible feeling to realize how much growth your channel has gotten! 4 years worth of your videos was the only thing that kept me sane in the lockdown brought by 2020. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your adventures with the world, have wonderful Christmas, and let's hope we can get back to normal in 2021, and with a bit of luck hopefully run into each other in some remote part of the world.

I have now moved to wheelchair accessible house but had bad fall ended up in A&E but not to serious will just have to push back plans a bit.
I am going to aim to get on Uni course ro do Psychology and counselling so I can do free sessions for those who can't afford or access therapy.... It is my way of paying forward if I get something good ifi d away to give someone something they need and it dies not have to cost anything a simple offer of chat and cuppa can mean the world.
You show that young folk are kind, considerate, willing to work hard take risks, and try new things.
To come out of 2020 having still found positive experiences shows, a great mental attitude and perhaps if only one person takes leaf out of your book and then passes, forward attitude we will come out the other side of Covid better for it...
It is almost as if Mother Nature saying wake up be grateful for what you have don't destroy the world.
To all who watch best wishes, to those of you with an empty seat at table I understand your pain as one half of my family died within 18 months..
The pain does, stay but life grows around it and it is OK some days to forget and laugh enjoy life equally it is OK to have tearful day and want to talk or hide away.
