Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
I am bit a happy that you are not going to the national parks, it so over done and it lovely to see small places, off the beaten track and stuff we dont see on every travel channel.
Are you the one that reported them?, jk. I just sometimes miss the National parks but i do like the other things aswell and i know that they will make great content even if they can't do it in a National Park
I was excited for national parks simply because I wanted to see how differently they presented them!
@@LachlanKellett No I didnt report them. It just all we outside of USA see is national park and stuff that seldom show a nice side of you. It would fun to see those small gems of USA.
you know thats actually a good point. Theres HOW MANY travel vloggers who alllll go to same parks, which is fine and beautiful to see, but given their situation its a great opportunity to see the "road less traveled". We now get to see the far less common things to do, the far less trafficked areas, other places to stay, other experiences. Cute, amazing places like this.

Hahaha, the crab was already boiled, since it was red. So by boiling it again you removed the taste. You should defiantly try it again!

Since the crab was already cooked you had a couple of easier options. You could have eaten it cold and reheated it by steaming it for a few minutes! Keep the flavor alive! Please try it again. Dungeness Crab is amazing when done right!

Yay! People are finally understanding the beauty of my wonderful home state! But if you want to experience Oregon in it's purest form, come in the fall/winter. It is super rainy then, but it has so much more to offer in the fall/winter. Hiking, farms, ballets (I'm biased lol) food, and super nice people.

I love all of your videos but this one was my favorite. I think you asked your grandfather some awesome questions. We can learn so much from the wisdom of grandparents. My grandparents past away we I was young infant I got to know my great grandparents and as a child I loved my great grandfather stories. I wish I could still speak to him today. I miss him so much he set a amazing role model for many men in our family today. Thank you so much for this video.

Over this crazy year, I've found myself watching so many of your older travel videos. I just finished watching the one where you guys brought Kara's dad to Vietnam and my heart just ached a bit. I've only been to Thailand, but like you guys I fell in absolute love with Southeast Asia. Being able to watch you guys travel around and see people's cultures before this crazy virus appeared... it means a lot! Van bed suggestions.
1) You each use a single mattress, that meets in the middle during the night. During the day it is a tall backrest on the left and right sides of the van.
2) a roll up flannel mattress that rolls towards the rear of the van, just use straps to hold it rolled. Could be a nice back rest with your back against the rear doors, feet on the rest of the seat.
3) air mattress, even the thin camping kinds would help.
4) thicker pads for sleeping on and sitting on.
I love how this rental home comes with two dogs who guide you everywhere and eat fish food 😂
I know. I wish I could book a room at the Hilton Garden Inn and get two puppies with my room.

Those two dogs have got the best life. Every person or couple that arrive for the tree house is another opportunity for unlimited fun and play. They get to watch everyone that comes to the tree house change from stressed adult to playful kid. How cool is that life...

New subscriber. I remember seeing one of your train ride videos a while back, but then I lost your channel! I'm so glad I found it again this morning, and I quickly subscribed so I don't lose you again. Can I just say this looks sooooooooooooo peaceful! I desperately need a weekend like this! Nice, quiet, relaxing, where there's nothing that needs to get done, no chores I have to do, no errands I need to run. Just me, relaxing in a tree house, drinking my coffee...
