I had something similar on one of my Acura’s, thieves tried three Times to steal they even hammered the clutch pedal, sold the car after but they couldn’t take it, it works 👍
That's another thing that worries me. If a thief can't take your car they might damage it on purpose out of frustration. Scratch your car, break the windows etc.
Hi, was your Acura manual and if so did you use it on the break or clutch? My car got stolen recently and I had a steering wheel lock which they somehow bent and took off. I now have an alarm but I want something else to ease my mind as well. Thank you
In my opinion this device is not for everyday use nor it replaces your car alarm/gps/killswitch etc. I got one of these pedal locks and i only use it when i have to park on open space parking spots outside of garage or when i leave my vehicle on an unattended parking.
Most cars today still don't come with alarms, and today's keyless cars all the thief needs is to get close enough to you to scan the code when you use the key fob, boom he can make a duplicate in 5 minutes and you'll never see the car again. Same goes for transponder keys 10 minutes and done. The best and safest way to stop theft is to disable the car, pull the fuel and ignition relays every time you leave and you will never have to worry about someone stealing it. I've done it that way and never had my vehicles stolen. Sure it's a pain but 5 minutes of time removing a couple relays vs hours dealing with cops that do nothing and countless phone calls to the insurance rep over a stolen vehicle, come on weigh the odds, not ever vehicle has an alarm and the ones that do can easily be disabled but no thief will carry a pocket full of relays for each specific car on the road.
The reason why locks are better than GPS is that if it's a really really solid and dependable locking mechanism... The thief cannot leave with the car in the first place. All they can do in anger is to damage the car or steal parts or stuff from it if they cannot go with it. GPS though... U may get back your vehicle... But the fact still remains that they got to GO with your vehicle. While driving away with the vehicle they can steal the same stuff and further crash or damage the car before it is found... IF it is recovered In the first place. GPS is excellent of course, but the fact that they still got to steal the car is the problem. I want the attempt to steal it the vehicle to be failed from the start. Additionally, where this lock is concerned...cant a person with enough force just kick the entire mechanism out of place from under the brake?? Probably? When I hear pedal lock... I think of a mechanism that holds the bake and gas pedal together. So mashing the gas pedal means the brake will be mashing at the same time... So can't go a place. Just my immediate thoughts on the whole matter.
Yeah those things are good to have there's no question about that. If the vehicle has a manual transmission you would hook it up to the clutch pedal, if the vehicle has an automatic transmission then you would hook it up to the brake pedal. Both of those pedals are made of steel and nobody is going to want to cut through either one of those pedals as they are both crucial to the operation of the vehicle.
Just pull the fuel and ignition relays every time you leave and you will never have to worry about someone stealing the car, no thief will carry a pocket full of relays for each specific car on the road and you'll never have a stolen vehicle ever, 5 minutes of time removing a couple relays vs hours dealing with cops that do nothing and countless phone calls to the insurance rep over a stolen vehicle. Yes, modern day car theft is based on vulnerabilities of the keyless system (remote start, smart keys, keyless entry). This is why I removed the battery from my Smart Key and put it in a faraday box. It doesn't transmit the signal (I even had a spare door key made which I use instead of the buttons on the key). This way the only way you can start the car is to hold the key 1 inch from the ignition, but the key doesn't transmit the signal. The car is still looking for the key, but this part is harder to circumvent than the key fob transmitting as it's not looking for a specific key, but rather a response from the key and when Toyota keys are held close to the ignition switch (within 1-2 inches) they are activated by something simimlar to wireless charging that activates in the key (even with the battery removed) that verifies the key. But the key has to be 1-2 inches from the ignition. So this is perhaps the safest and easiest way I've found to combat theft, that and remove breakers from the under-hood fuse panel for key components (like starter, electric steering, etc) if the car is gong to be sitting for a few days or more or is in sketchy areas like airport parking lots.

Looks like a grenade training in the military 😅😅love it though
A friend had this on his Honda they couldn't steal it so they just broke the windows
that sucks.. fucking assholes.
i had my honda stolen with the steering lock on. have to
try this one as well as clamp lock
People suk. Some people just compleatly FUKING suk They want to harm and damage things for fun. Simple as that. For fun. And most of the time. If it’s a situation like your saying. Where the thieves couldn’t steel the car so they broke the windows. In my expearence ... the thieves are the bored rich kids that won’t ever get cought ... or if they do , two things happen. 1. Mommy and daddy’s money will bail them out every time until a judges can’t be bought. Or 2 they get cought by the right kind of owner in the right state and they die from a defensive shot to the body. I’m bitter about this subject for the same reason I’m betting your friend is.
mary jane I just bought this brake lock and a wheel camp lock dam people love stealing Honda’s and I just bought a Crx
Carrie Carter .
Does it matter what kind of car you have to put this on? I have a Hyundai Elantra but I'm not sure if this will fit on my brake.
did you ever get one? I have one too and am considering this
Could the bar be pulled forward so it loosens the clutch pedal?
what clutch pedal????
its a good question if anyone can reply
To a degree but it still doesn't allow you to stop fully so it would be a major issue regardless
Can someone make a video of this being taken apart? People say it's dooable but it seems solid.
Theres no way you can take it apart its solid steel
Send it to the lock picking lawyer
Or to bosnian bill
put is upside down...
KNOWING TO KEEP THE KEY TO FULL RIGHT TO APPLY LOCK, THEN FULL LEFT LOCKS IT IN, EASY.
Hey i can use hand break
The pblm with this lock is that it slides on the pedal
What if the key breaks inside this deivice? How to unlock it?
I want to buy this lock Please guide me how I will purchase.
See description below the video.
Ebay £8
z-con brake lock is much easier to use, high safety of protection for yor car .
hmm, I think, this protect is veery good bcoz its not affordable at all for any thief to pick a lock
I can still press down on the pedal to shift gears... Not good
Juan Tellez put it on the clutch then?
@Juan Tellez are you stupid? The brake pedal is locked down there is noon play between the pedal and the lock itself.
They will cut your brake line at the back of your back plate and use the emergency brake or park brake
famila johns your statement is frauded, the back brake is also the caliper for the emergency brake cutting the rear cable wouldn’t allow either brakes to be used.
not if its on the clutch its made for a clutch not brakes
I need this pls guide me how can i get it
killswitch is the best/ easy way to prevent car theft. good work though
Easily can be compromised by reconnecting the wires broken by the kill switch
Thanks now I think nobody could break into this type of application
what a simple key...
@anonymous do you really think the car thief would know before hand that the device is installed and that he would need to carry A CO2 cartridge?
Just unplug & take wth fuses and remove some spark plug cables when parking the car esp if not using the car daily.......These in addition to having engaged the pedal lock.....
Price
He can use the handbrake it isn't good for the car but he can steal the car drive it away to a save place then remove the lock
I guess only for automatic cars, my truck doesnt go into gear if the break isnt pushed in
+Quinn Loos i didnt think that yeah he can use hand break, manual
There is a little sensor that sends a signal when you push the brake pedal and lets you shift through gears, car thefts break that switch first...
With a manual transmission, you put the lock on the clutch. You can't start a manual without a clutch, nor can you switch gears.
Kuromatsu619 dam why I didn't think that too I need t buy that
A tweeker’s nightmare
It also let's them total your car because they can still press the gas
You can't shift without pressing down on the brake. Pushing on the throttle will do nothing but waste your fuel.
In automatic cars you can’t go into drive or anything else without pressing on the brake first. So if they can’t press the brake, they can’t go anywhere
I think you should have 3 points of anti theft..locks..ignition kill. And custom high pitch alarm...
all are just shit
What about handbreak? Thief can use hand break as will
they can not drive on a busy road or at night using a hand brake, they will to control the car limiting speed.....
I bought one, it's not secure because you can move it up and down the break shaft.. Am I missing something ???
Have you tried a different pedal? The gas or clutch are better options.
@@EnglishLaw Even in this picture you can see that you can kick it from under its feet...Its a hoax 😂😂😂😂
They can used hand brake to stop instead of pedal brake
The pedal is locked to the floor
I would love to show you how this thing is useless, not a thief, just an automotive engineer.
Digeser kedepan, sama saja bisa digunakan koplingmya😊
To think like a thief, I would just cut the brake line and roll it away. Combination of anti theft devices , anti steering devices, kill switch, GPS, approach alarms ,braking devices and not forget S/W. as your first means of defense.
Hi.
What stop me from just flip the jack and make the floor hiting lock dont do anything because its upside down?
you cant flip it because the 'slit' between the two legs are too narrow
Passt nur bei alten Autos und bei meinem Fahrzeug konnte man das Teil seitlich wegdrehen. Ausserdem sehr umständlich zu befestigen.
wow that key looks so easy to pick, a disc detainer but with only 1 disc???
How are you going to pick it when its under the pedal you dick
Good..👍👍👍
Glad to help. Can you please subscribe in return? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
Heck! These days I have trouble bending over to put on my socks. There's no way I would want to grovel in the foot-well to lock the pedal.
Lol
Same here.
How can I get it
See description below the video.
