seems cool device and easy of use. I just see no problem to cut the pedal bar (not cut resistant) and remove all that. Yes you will have short stick instead of pedal - but it still can be used for driving
The weak point of this outstanding product is the key lock should be positioned in an angle under the pedal or put the key lock on the side so the thief can’t drill out the lock in 60 seconds. My idea would make this product theft proof. Excellent product other than the weak point of drilling out the lock. Again move the lock to an awkward position making it awkward to drill and apply pressure to the drill when drilling out the lock. Obviously, this idea needs to be reported to the manufacturer.
Hey guys I found a heavy duty stainless steel pedal lock on eBay that prevents the brake pedal from being pressed at all to drive any vehicle. It was $20.00 and it’s heavy duty. Your car will not move lol.
I’ve been using one of these. It’s called an auto lock. It’s actually red. I’ve been using auto lock periodically combined with a steering wheel and I haven’t had a car stolen since it’s too much work to deal with those antitheft devices so they move onto something easier.
Yeah those things are good to have there's no question about that. If the vehicle has a manual transmission you would hook it up to the clutch pedal, if the vehicle has an automatic transmission then you would hook it up to the brake pedal. Both of those pedals are made of steel and nobody is going to want to cut through either one of those pedals as they are both crucial to the operation of the vehicle.
It seems pretty good, but what I don't understand is why they don't come up with some other way to put the lock on in a different spot, straight on the top it can be drilled out, but if they came up with some way to put it on the side and down lower, it would be almost impossible to hold a big drill in the space there to drill out.
also it would be much more different to unlock every time. still I am having difficulty to unlock mine since you have to bend to unlock. If you use this lock with kill switch, I think it would be the best combination
A Kill switch well hidden would be good enough. I ended up returning the brake pedal lock as it was not very good in my opinion. I ended up getting Stoplock Pro which is much more heavy duty and takes longer/more effort to defeat.
The new ones have the lock on the side. Problem is that the whole mechanism is faulty. DO NOT BUY. I won't go into details but it simply doesn't work. I love the old model.
I see a weak spot in that lock, it looks like you can lift it vertically up higher on the pedal and it looks like it would clear the floor enough to start the car
your reviewed item is based on the original The Unbreakable Lock AutoLock PRO, use a 7-pin rotary key also known as a 'barrel' key. that came out in late 1990s.
How many car thieves are using battery powered grinders most are not doing that especially teenagers if you are using a grinder that makes noise and takes time it's easier to just look for another car
It looks more like a gimmick to me like the club was years ago, already see a big flaw in this gimmick forget about trying to take the device off all i need is a hack saw & cut of the brake pedal arm closest to the gimmick device then device comes off the thief is able to drive off with a cut brake pedal but just replaces it later on, "anything" that wraps around pedal & or with rhe steering wheel is a major waste of money.. the best is kill switch completely hidden in the vehicle that no one knows where its at other then the owner of the vehicle who instelled it & not to tell friends coworkers only a wife & the grown adult kids.
@@Kensreviews1 Doubt is good. You should use it more. Two things are efficient : hidden circuit breaker, and the device anti mouse-jacking. Anything with a lock is piece of cake for a thief.
Let’s be honest. If someone REALLY wants to steal your car. They will. These type of anti-theft devices will either stop a thief or slow them down. It’s never 100%.
Ain't no regular thief planning an extra 5 minutes to drill a lock. Only places that's happening is Democrat soft on crime areas where criminals are blatantly committing crime in broad day light in front of security. If you live in those areas, you prob already know you need a lot more than a normal club or pedal lock.
This device is easily defeated by drilling the lock out in just a matter of seconds. Sad to see this video. Need to find a better device than this for the brake or clutch. th-cam.com/video/34wPKEbY-go/w-d-xo.html
I’m not saying this is better than others. Just reviewing a free product they gave me. There will always be better and other options. And almost always a way to defeat it in some way.

Every time I get home I place a claymore under the driver seat. No one should drive the car but me.

I saw a TH-cam video of this thing getting drilled open in no time, right when I was on the verge of buying one.

Well said! They are really good!
The brake pedal is not difficult to replace and it would be easy enough to operate the car temporarily with a cut brake pedal
@@gearhead-442 yeah, temporarily is the key word and no thief wants to be in that position

Love this review, now I can install this on my car. You just earned a sub!
Thank you!

It is trash now. I have an old model that's great. Bought a new model that is trash. Do not buy new models of auto lock pro.
I’m still sending the auto lock pro on my STi
Amazon just delivered wow awesome
Hope you like it!
A weak point might be the brake pedal. Can it be removed easily or cut?
For safety reasons, the brake pedal is one of the strongest parts in a vehicle. It's why so many of these anti-theft locks use this pedal.
really bad reviews on Amazon of people having to cut it off, because the key fails.
Thank you
Unfortunately battery powered die grinders make these questionable

A cutting torch could cut right trough it.

🤣🤣 cut through a metal bar with a hack saw grow up.
I bet a hidden $5 switch would work better.
Agreed.
You'll probably spend more time to put it than a trained thief to unlock it.
Doubt it

Don't buy it ! they just cut off the brake pedal at the shaft and drive away.
The shaft is a metal bar. Takes too long to cut
No one is going to wait that long to cut the pedal...
Also, idk why they cut it, when it's the easiest thing in the world to drill out. th-cam.com/video/34wPKEbY-go/w-d-xo.html
Take 5 min to drill out the lock
Kill switch plus this brake lock will do the trick.
