@@Koozul Kind of. The Roman version of him was even worse. Instead of deliberately making people fall asleep at work, if they did so on their own... they wouldn't wake up. He literally killed people who fell asleep at the wrong moment. He did that to the helmsman of the Argo I think, though I'm not 100% sure

@@n1thecaptain965 Well, that's fun. Seems like an interesting cultural difference between ancient Greece and Rome. Like if a Greek was caught sleeping on the job he could simply say: "I'm so sorry, Hypnos made me fall asleep. I'll make an offering to him and then it won't happen again, boss." And the boss just shrugs and says "Alright."
But if you ask a Roman whether sleeping at work is bad he'd say: "Absolutely, and you will die if you do. Hypnos will effing kill you!"

It’s easy to read all the Percy Jackson books as that series is done, and then followed by tons of other series the actual Percy Jackson books ended with the last Olympian so I don’t see the sense in this comment.
HDtin 1 Mate, I was just making a joke. Also Percy Jackson does appear in Heroes of the Olymp and there’s a crossover with the Kane siblings. I absolutely encourage anyone who read the first Percy Jackson series to also read heroes of the Olymp and probably anything else Rick Riordan has written because I adore his books.

If you watch their videos you see they end up drawing most characters looking to the left
It's a common habit among artists, at least right-handed ones, to draw characters facing left. I can't speak for everyone, but as an artist myself, I think it's just, like, one percent more comfortable to draw facial features leftward due to the fingers having to extend rather than retract. As a result it just becomes a habit.
Fun fact: Hypnos made Endymion sleep with his eyes open so Hypnos could admire his beauty, not himself

This episode was an absolute treat and omg I love Song of Achilles!! It’s such a good read
I love Greek Mythology and drawing so when I saw this all I could think of was, “Is this Elysium?” All the drawings and characters you guys came up with were awesome! Anyway if ya ever decide to do a part two, the gods Dionysis, Nike, & Pan are some that would be fun to interpret into a drawing.
These folks really got their mythology mixed up, still wonderful to watch nonetheless! The “nymph turns a guy into a deer” story is actually the story of a hunter who accidentally saw Artemis and her fellow lady hunters bathing nude and was therefore turned into a deer forced to be hunted by his own dogs as said. Ancient folk had no concept of mercy it seems
To be fair, he was being a real creep and Artemis wasn't known for being merciful
And wasn't it Artemis that tricked Narcissus not Nemesis? I have a book on hand that summarizes many Greek lore.
And Narcissus, realizing he could never love anyone other than himself while staring into the water's reflection, then stabbed himself in despair.
OMG I was literally about to say this in a comment before seeing you say it. I noticed too. Of course, only by reading Percy Jackson books and therefore reading about these myths in the 'Greek Gods' and 'Greek Heroes' books

Why Skyrim specifically? They've appeared in all of them...
martijn van weele Skyrim however was the first game where many of them physically appeared before you instead of just being behind a shrine. Except for of course Oblivion where you only meet Mehrunes Dagon and Sheogorath.

Something in this video reminded me of the legend of the little old couple that took care of a temple of Zeus. They were very poor, but when Zeus disguised as a traveler stopped by and asked for food. They cooked their only goose and made a meal for him, when none of their neighbors did. In reward he had them take care of this temple, so they didn't have to worry about food or anything. As the years go by, Zeus asked if they wished to be immortal. They denied, by asked instead that when they die. They turn into a tree together, so that they didn't have to live without the other.
The version of the man who became a cricket I read was a Goddess fell in love with a guy and begged Zeus to make him immortal but forgot to also ask for eternal youth

It was Eris who threw the golden apple of discord because she wasn't invited to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis. Though in some versions, Nemesis did got involved in the Trojan War story and that is via the motherhood of Helen of Troy.
