John Bromin As a Floridian, I would like to point out that the reason people hear about crazy stuff that happens in Florida is because of the Sunshine Laws... laws put in place to guarantee transparency of government. Unfortunately, our Sunshine Laws make it very easy for media outlets to obtain court proceedings and arrest records and wave them around as a spectacle for the rest of the country to laugh at. I can guarantee you that the same amount of crazy stuff happens in other states, but no one really hears about it.
Yes, Florida is a crazy place full of strange people who do strange things, but only about one third of the population was born in Florida... in other words, the majority of these bizarre things that happen here are perpetrated by people who come here from somewhere else... generally New York, California, Georgia, or Alabama. Lycopersicon is the Neo-Greek and scientific name for species of tomatoes. People used to think that they were poisonous due to belonging to the nightshade family and so they called tomatoes wolf peaches (wolf was used as an attributive adjective to show that they were dangerous to consume), which is the direct translation of lycopersicon and why you got the wolf component of the word.

Wolf peaches sound like something you'd see in a video game that give you temporary dog powers like super smell. Also they sound way cooler than that. Even for a thing with the most overrated animal on the planet in its name.
There is still some toxin (called glycoalkaloids) in tomatoes, potatoes and bell peppers (all part of the nightshade family) but in smaller amounts than the actual Nightshade plant only when they are properly ripe. If unripe, such as green peppers or raw potatoes, particularly green potatoes, they contain higher amounts of glycoalkaloids which can be toxic/poisonous if eaten in large amounts. But you'd have to eat like 50 of them in one sitting to do any real damage, however I believe you would still get some neurological effects from just eating it regularly. Yes, I do some weird research lol.

i remember when I was younger, i looked up arachnophobia and I saw that it said "even detailed drawings of spiders may scare a person with arachnophobia." i thought it was so ridiculous and dramatic... but here we are, years later, needing to avert my eyes when the silhouettes of the spiders are shown when you announce the name of the phobia.
Well the thing about phobias is they’re irrational fears. If someone just thinks spiders are gross and don’t wanna touch them, that’s not arachnophobia. Arachnophobia is when it reaches the point beyond rational reactions. Common symptoms of arachnophobia include anxiety, nausea, and “skin crawling”. I have a middling level of arachnophobia, it’s more than mild because it literally can keep me up at night if I know there’s a spider nearby, but it’s not so severe that I’m incapable of dealing with a spider I see (usually... if it gets too bad I do have to ask someone else to help me, especially if it’s a fast or jumping spider). But I totally realize I’m being irrational when I see a type of spider that can’t even bite me and I react just as strongly as if it was a dangerous one. 🤷♂️ phobias are weird, man.

Try this: in "Bleach", every sword is also a spirit, with a unique name, ability and a humanized form. For example, "Haineko" (Ash Cat), Zabimaru (Snake Tail) etc. So, you could, judging by the name and the ability, draw both their sword form and a manifested anthropomorphic form.

19:38 I actually have Foniasophobia (the fear of murderers) and it's actually more irrational than you think. I get really anxious and scared when hearing news about someone on a murder spree, or someone getting murdered, even if the murders happened in a completely different country. I think it's more of a phobia of the THOUGHT of murderers, like I get this feeling of unnerve, "what if they come and kill me next" or something like that, but I do see how some people could think it's as straight forward as seeing a murderer and running away.

Saying "coke" or "cola" meaning "any soda" is just objectively wrong because "Coke" is a brand name and "cola" is a specific type of soda, and calling something like Sprite a "cola" would be like calling apples oranges because they're both varieties of fruit.
But the thing is long long ago every fruit was called an apple
Okay as someone from the south I have never heard anyone actually refer to Coke or Cola as a blanket term for soda, just putting that out there 😆
