You are covered by the hospital indemnity cover. However it is advisable to have a personal indemnity cover, you can look for MDU / MPS / MDDUS they provide indemnity.

(If you were allowed to take the Primary exam, that means you have the necessary Primary - Passed the FRCEM Primary or MRCEM Part A after 1st August 2012 or MRCEM Primary SBA (2021). Or DREEM trainee and has been granted exemption from the FRCEM Primary, Or MRCEM Part A or MRCEM Primary as a result of obtaining MRCS or MRCSI after 1 January 2012
hello, kindly address my queries. 1-What is the pathway for Emergency medicine in ireland? 2- I read that now MRCEM has been replaced by FRCEM, is it true?
Hello, If you have MRCEM Intermediate, you can apply for Global fellowship program or EMIT program to get GMC. U can either enter at ST1 level or ST3 level without osce & finish it when you can.
It's a long road, first you need to have gmc registration, get alternate competency certificate signed - which will need UK experience, then apply for ST3 via national recruitment in UK.
Ideally yes as you would need GMC registration. If you've done till intermediate you could still apply for sponsorship via Global Fellow scheme or MTI via RCEM.
You can give the exam abroad. The college has sittings abroad. Or you can travel to the UK to give it. You do not need to move. The eligibility criteria is listed on the website
Hello Sir Can you please tell me if it is necessary to take the MRCEM 3 year course offered by some private hospitals? Or would I be eligible for taking OSCE after passing Primary and Intermediate if I have experience of more than 2yrs after MBBS in Emergency medicine dept of a well renowned hospital?
Hi bro, you do not need any courses to write the OSCE. The MRCEM OSCE is open to candidates who have passed the Primary and MRCEM Intermediate SBA (or equivalent). Candidates are also required to have at least 24 months experience post qualification and at least six months experience in EM (post FY1/intern level). Not mandatory to join any of these courses.
