Great video. Thanks. I believe the part you cut out to reuse is the rear catalytic converter. I read they usually last 10 years before they start having issues. I found a bolt on replacement on eBay for like $60.
My hat is off you you...working on ground under a car is never fun. Looks like you achieved a very nice result. Driving up on 2 ramp causes me to pucker...not sure I could do 4 at one time...lol...good job.
Just replaced the catback exhaust system on both my 1999 Toyota rav4 with 250,000 miles and on my 1995 Honda odyssey with 426,000 miles. Same got mine on Ebay also. Saved me mucho denero
This is super wholesome and great lighting for the vid, even under the van. I had to pucker, though, watching you break bolts loose near those sharp-edge heat shields with no gloves on. Is that fat bit that you had to cut off and re-use not a cat converter? Or are there only the two separate ones on the downpipes from each manifold?
Unfortunately, New York and California require compliant catalytic converters that are about triple generic. If they're not compliant the car will fail emissions, and not be eligible for re-registration. A far as putting money into early 2000's Siennas, my 2004 LE is hands down the best minivan I've ever owned, and at 313,000 is still going strong. Pennzoil Full Synthetic Ultra High mileage 10-30W, Purolator One oil filters, and Purolator air filters.
Hi. If you can help me. I have Sienna 2008 CE FWD. My muffler got leaked. I just need to replace muffler only. I am going to order muffler. Got question the tail pipe of 2008 CE welded or just clamp. I mean can I take out the tail pipe from muffler and put back on new muffler and tight with clamp 2 1/4 clamp. Please advise. Thanks

@@andybside thanks for that information!
It's been a year now and this exhaust system is still holding up great! Saved me a lot of money!
Is it louder than stock?
@@bhadz100 possibly. Hard to know unless you could have them side by side. But it’s definitely working well for me.

Love these old Siennas. Great job thank you!
Great video. I know how hard it is to work on your back underneath the car especially as we get older lol great job. Also no gloves just like me!
Thanks for a great job. You make it look so simple😜
Great job bro!! You knocked it out!!
@@WaineRambo thanks! It’s still going strong!

Yeh, the fatter portion is either the flex joint or you might be referring to part of the muffler. I do need to wear gloves more often…..
Nice work! Thank you for sharing. Cheers.
Could you leave link to exhaust kit you purchased?
@@cherylwinchell-l2l it’s linked in the description below the video.
Interesting the way you used 4 ramps. Can you make a more detailed video on how to use 4 ramps on a car that is lower to the ground like a Corolla ?
I’ll see what I can do.
What are the work's of those 2 sensors?
@@HamsterKombatInviteLink I’m not clear on your question.
Any chance you have a different link to the system that you bought? I can't seem to find a system that comes with the catalytic converters.
Mine didn’t have catalytic converters either. Mine were still good….so far.
Also replaced the downstream catalytic converter on the Toyota
Nice job on the video
Thank you

I’m sure it can be done with the right components. Good luck!
How much does the after market part cost you?
@@BlueTheRainbowFriend123 the link for it is in the description below the video. I think it was around $350.

Thanks for the heads up!
Good video
Thank you
Much appreciated
Why are replacing it , is got check engine light , my car does but why Toyota Sienna have 3 catalytic , so which one is to replace
@@haihuynh5638 I didn’t change catalytic converter. I wouldn’t change any unless they are leaking exhaust.
Use wd40 on those rubber hinge things. Lol. They come off easier
Good idea!
