What is so strange about this is that it has no glass cockpit and still has the old analog instruments. This was first used by GHW Bush (1988-1992). The 747-400 came out in 1988 so what model is this, a 300? Glass cockpits came out on US airlines in the early 80's, first with the MD-80 and then with the 757/767 series which had roughly the same cockpits. Does anyone know why Air Force One was not a 400 series when they were already 2 years old? Was it because they started building this plane prior to its introduction? Thanks,

Justin Lareaux partially right. Executive One is the name given to a commercial airplane carrying the President, but only Carter did it. When Potus isn't onboard, it is simply called "VC number" .
no dipshits, its call sign is SAM 28000 (or 29000); and Nixon was the only President to fly on a commercial aircraft. Too many idiots who don't know jack lurking on the internet these days.
If not carrying POTUS (Air Force One) or VPOTUS (Air Force Two) then the call sign is the tail number (28000 or 29000) prefixed by SAM (for Special Air Mission) if DVs are aboard, and VENUS if not. Executive One is an aircraft carrying POTUS that isn't operated by the armed services.

It's sort of disgraceful that the president is flying around in this old hunk of junk.
BewareTheIdes Thank you. Those of us here below are just awed by such stories. The closest I've been to such goings on is as a temp employee with Boeing in Renton, where a 747 was being retrofitted to the tune of some 50 million dollars for the king of Saudi Arabia. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed!
I think Obama has invited some people on board and you can fly with it as member of the press corps. But your idea is kinda cool, I like it.
That is so cool. I think I would be too excited to eat. That's the most beautiful plane in the world, and just happens to be my favorite color. Who knew? Thank you for the tour. I'm thinking chocolate covered strawberries..🗽❤️🗽
poor Hilary Clinton, she walks in the woods now !!
LOL! Yep! Losers can't be winners! #MAGA
A C to loser democrats maybe.
Innocent Civilian lol. What a moron you are.

That plane is so ridiculously huge!
Is the most beautiful aircraft in the world. I love it🇺🇸❤️
Glad I found this!
Air Force one is only named that if POTUS is on board, without him on board, it's called Executive One.
Special Air Mission with tail number.
Oh cool, back then they are using the Philips MRX monitor/defibrillator in their makeshift emergency room.
Her "healthy eating " cost schools big time . And it was a a failed attempt . It was a good idea but she did not plan it out well
You guys do know the plane is not named Air Force One. Air Force One is just a call sign for what plane the President is in.
Don't worry, it'll be Trump Force One soon.
😨
Ok fine.. Con Air..
Fuck off. Trump can have getto south west airlines. They can give me Air Force One
NO WAYYYY, it should be snoop force one, ezzzzyyyyy weeezzyyyy
