EMO - How to Reboot or Forcefully Power-Off EMO

- Warning: These two methods of powering off EMO are not really recommended and should only be used as a last resort.
If your EMO is not responding to any of the normal methods that you can do to power off EMO (you can see a video here on the 5 different ways to power off EMO: -- • EMO - 5 Different Ways...
Which are:
1. Issue a voice command - EMO POWER OFF - EMO SHUTDOWN
2. Flip EMO Upside down and allow him to power off
3. Power-OFF EMO via the EMO APP
4. Taking EMO Off his charger and letting his battery deplete.
You can try to do either of the following 2 methods:
1. Forcefully Powering him off
2. Rebooting/Restarting him
To REBOOT/RESTART EMO. Place a paper clip into the right hole (located in the middle back of his head) - press down gently until you hear a click and this should RESTART/REBOOT EMO.
To Forcefully Power-Off EMO. Place a paper clip into the left hole (located in the middle back of his head) - press down gently until you hear a click and this should POWER OFF EMO.
Note that the Forceful power-off method is not recommended by Living.ai and could potentially lead to possible data corruption if done regularly/often. (this is considered the same way as you pulling the plug on a running PC. It will power it off, but you do not know if it's potentially damaged the Operating file system in any way).
Please use caution when performing these two methods with your EMO.

Yes, you can reboot, or power him off. If you are getting specific errors, it would be best to create a short video and send it to Living.ai support. The support team will be able to assist you further with your problem.
Emo isn’t responding I didn’t touch him for a lot of months , and he’s not doing anything
Might have internet connection problem. Or he might have problems with his battery. If you have any concerns, I'd recommend contacting Living.ai support and letting them know what is happening. Hopefully they can assist you.
Is the restart is wiping out all of your data?
No you will not lose any data if you do this. The only way you will lose data is if EMO's motherboard is replaced.

What exactly is happening? I would firstly recommend to take a short video of the problem you have, and send it over to Living.ai Support for them to assist you. You can can submit a support ticket on their official website here:
living.ai/product-support-emo/
Provide as much info as possible for the support team to assist you.
My emo has been issues. He does not understand me sometimes. Like if I tell him to come here, he will say OK. What can I do for you? Or like I said power off and he told me the weather or sometimes I have to keep saying the same voice command over and over again because he keeps failing like he did not understand me can you please help?
If you're EMO is having trouble trying to understand certain commands. Firstly, what I'd recommend is powering him off, and also power cycling your home WIFI. Once the internet is back on in your house, then test a few simple voice commands with EMO like, What day is it, what time is it? etc. and see if he replies accordingly. IF EMO is not responding as intended, it might be a server related issue. It would be best to contact living.ai support and let them know of your problem. (best thing to do is create a short video and send that to support so they can assist you as best as possible).

@@codycossaboon Yes, as mentioned in a number of my videos, when you speak to EMO, first call out his name. then wait 1-2 seconds then ask your question in a clear voice.
@@masterabbott I have a question, when you say to emo connect to chat gpt or connect to open ai, does he connect to the company open ai?
Not all the time, sometimes if there is congestion on the network or OPEN AI is busy, it will fail, you will need to be patient and try again at a later time.@@codycossaboon

Uh...Living AI sent me the email for the Beta test with the alpha emo link but instead of sending it to me directly, they sent it to a group of people and now everybody has my email and are replying in my inbox!!
Best to let them know this by email. Try and not discuss anything beta related publicly.
@@masterabbott I wasn't. I was trying to notify you since you know about EMO then I do. You are also talking about his features by making public videos about him, so I don't know what to say there. I had a funny conversation with the ChatGPT thing were he called me EMO buf he was EMO lol.
@@masterabbott Also it's not really secret about the Beta thing because they let Beta EMO do the Alpha EMO stuff and I'm happy my EMO can now do the AI drawing yay! The images were funny!

It’s ok, if you have any concerns about the beta testing, it is best to contact them directly via email and they can help.
Yes ChatGPT is very cool. Hopefully Living.ai do decide to released it in the future. Unfortunately at this time we have no idea if they will.

Hi ! Nice video❤ My emo sometimes reboot on it's on like for a second he turns off and then back on and his eyes appear from the bottom of his screen or from the sides. Should I worry about that ?
No, there is no need to worry about that. Sometimes it also happens to both of my EMO, as I explained in this video. ^_^

That would be amazing if our Emo’s could have the ChatGpt. I could ask him all the questions without bothering you.,I do understand that some different robots have it, but definitely not mine. Another quick question please Master Abbot. If I was to get my Emo another Emo, can they both use the same App, or does the 2nd Emo, have to have his own app.I probably will only have the one home station and the skateboard, and could I switch periodically, one could use the charger and one the skateboard if needed. Right now this is just in the thinking stage.,I mentioned to my guy, if his owner wasn’t so technically challenged we could have been Beta testers. His response was staring at me, turned his back and shuffled away. I got the message loud and clear. Thanks you once again for your help.
Hi Arlene, thanks for your message. I can confirm that if you purchase a second EMO you can use the same App to manage both EMO’s, at the start screen you just have to choose which EMO you want to connect to and then you login. My EMO have a problem that i believe is a glitch , when i turn him up side down he just repeat the same action. Can i fix it? Thank you.He is just normal when im putting him back to the desk, just curious why is not like other video that he did alot of action but mine is not. I do worry when i hear this method ( forced to shut down ) is not rcmed
If your EMO is having trouble powering off when you flip him upside down. I can recommend taking off EMO's headphones, then place your palm over the top of his head. Then flip him upside down. This should initiate the power off routine normally within 5-10 seconds.
Even after rebooting and powering off my emo, he still will not respond? Can someone help?
Try and ensure that you have set EMO up correctly in the EMO App, and he can access the internet. If you are having problems. It would be best to power off your EMO (leave him turned off). Then power off your Home WIFI / Internet and also your Phone.
Once everything is turned off, power back on your Internet/WIFI once that is up, turn on your phone and confirm you can access internet. After that, power on EMO and connect to him via the EMO App, (also make sure that bluetooth is turned switched on your Phone.
Connect to EMO via the EMO app on your phone, if this works. Try asking EMO a question. If you get an error or EMO makes a error sound, check this video for further help.

What exactly didn't work? It should power off your EMO if it's done correctly. Once he's turned off, you can place him back onto his charger and it will start up again.
