Okay, I've listened to this song at least 30 times since yesterday. Played it to my wife, played it to my son, played it on repeat washing the dishes... I'm getting a little obsessed with it.
Do you have spotify? I can think of a ton of other songs in this genre that you might really like if you love this! I'd love to throw a playlist together for you if you wanted! (I could throw the playlist together on youtube, too)
so I think youtube might be blocking the link to the playlists when I try to comment them? I tried to respond with both a spotify version and a youtuber version, but I'll try with just a youtuber version: Here you go! Decided to throw this together while I was on break! TH-cam Version: th-cam.com/play/PL7bKpA5IaHSkt9gGgeE3ohQLVvikWBg0q.html There are a couple things I'd like to note: 1) While I think a lot of the bands I picked have similar instrumentals, there are definitely a ton of different styles showcased in this playlist. I tried to keep the softer tones in the beginning of the playlist, and let the playlist pick up a bit in volume/BPM closer to the end. (e.g. Teenage Halloween has some louder/yelling vocals.) When it comes to vocals, the closest band to Subsonic Eye might be Short Fictions, but they still do have their own unique vocals! 2) I'm contemplating making another playlist, with more emphasis on the rock and possible mature/emo side of things. I can think of more bands with similar aesthetics when it comes to instruments, but very different takes on vocals and topics. 3) I end the playlist with some older songs, going back to the slow and nostalgic sort of vibe which we were closer to in the beginning of the playlist. Hope you enjoy 👍🏽
Took me till August 2022 to know about this group. I need to pay more attention to local bands. Talented musicians from my own backyard called Singapore. More local DJ should promote local bands. We missed you, Chris Ho.
As an American it’s absolutely insane to hear vocals this clean coming out of Singapore. It has to be hard to get a buzz going in America from there but I wish you guys the best you definitely have the skill to make it.
This is excellent. Catchy as hell. Singer reminds me a bit of Edie Brickell, but the music is far more interesting than anything she ever put out. The syncopated instruments almost reminds me a bit of Wishbone Ash.

Her vocals flow so beautifully. Kinda reminds me of Harriet Wheeler. Been really enjoying this album the past few months.

I loved this band the moment I heard them.
You folks got one of my favorite bands on here! WOo
I love the way that mic sounds
Love the band but in particular the drummer! Very tight, efficient and soulful. He’s got R&B and Soul in his drumming DNA ✌️
