I just now noticed that Loretta has almost 2M in views. I've been listening to Ginger Root since Weather came out and I'm extremely hyped seeing more people enjoying their music. Please people; keep listening, Ginger Root deserves the love.
This song is a banger though.
Oh hey, I just got recommended to this song and this is my first introduction to Ginger root. If you don't mind, can you give me some recommendations of Ginger Root's songs? :D
@@nururu3233 all of them ( the music videos are all really funny, and the music is all very decent too)
When I first started listening to ginger root he was at like 5K youtube subs, now this man is almost at 100k, good for him
Agree! I found him through this song, and all of the music videos and even non-music videos are all super amazing. The effort put into them all is insane for how many views they have, and I have been listening to him for the past few weeks non-stop, its amazing.
Currently playing Elden Ring and found this song before a certain boss fight. Played on loop the whole fight.
groovy
I agree mister radioheadfan69
My little girl put me on to this song because she listens to it everyday all day and sings it around the house because it's her favorite song and I have to say that I really love the vibe of this song. It's so nostalgic!!!😊💙😊

Loretta, I see you walking now and then
Loretta, I see you coming near
Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper
How are we supposed to carry on?
Well I've got to for now
Forget her, and everything she said, she lied
I met her, morning noon and night
Well I'd say I fooled ya

actually it's faux 80s music - its inspired by japanese city pop which is a decidedly 80s genre

@@acatindisguise Nah, this definitely has more of a '70s feeling to it. The genre may have been popular in the early '80s as well, but it undoubtedly originated in the '70s.

This is sick. Can hear a lot of Masayoshi Takanaka and other 70s/early 80s Japanese City Pop artists in this. Such an awesome sound!
the starts really sounds like one of takanaka's songs, maybe he sampled it?
YES! I tried looking through his music to see if the first part was sampled since it sounded so similar.
