This series definitely starts as a slow burn, but picks up as it goes on. As a writer/storyteller, I try to grow and learn from everything I write, and feedback like this is important, so I appreciate it, regardless of whether you continue to listen to the story or not. Thanks for stopping by!
@@BlackKeyBooks Dont feel bad, I am listening to a Michael Crichton book and he was 3 hours going over the marital problems of the main character in excruciating detail. 4 hours in and as concussed as they seem, the MC is starting to realise there might be something going on besides some office grope and tickle. And that dude, got huge.
I know how difficult it is to make a full-cast audiobook using AI. I used to do it myself. Was reading this on Kindle and was super psyched to find your site. Thank you for the post. Even though most of the comments are negative, you've got 111 likes! Ignore the haters and enjoy the 9000+ views. Cheers.
Thanks for the kind words - and it's all right, folks can choose want they want to read/listen to, and I write stories that I think are fun. I hope others do too, but if not, there's a lot of options out there. Regardless, thanks again for giving it a listen, and take care!
Hey I'll give it a shot. It has an excellent premise. Im not keen on fake narration but i can definitely tell who each character is. 50 min in, not really capturing my interest so far but it does have potential.
Paragon's Fall does do a fair bit of world-building in the early going, but the pace picks up through the rest of the series. Regardless, thanks for stopping by, and hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
Over all a pretty good story, the AI reading it takes away from your writing. Also about 2 hours or more could easily be shaved off this story by cutting back on the over description of everyday hero tasks such as using a grappler to scale a building, 1-2 minute with some description not 8 minutes with describing all the details needed to do the task. Example “the grappler made a satisfying thud into the brick, a quick tug ensured the line was secure” Now climb the damn wall!
Thanks for the feedback - I'm always trying to improve my writing, and comments like this absolutely help. As to the AI thing - I hear you, and I'm (slowly) getting my entire catalog and new releases professionally narrated (Riven, Sever Squad, and a couple others are all out there in the usual places now) - it's just a lot slower and more expensive, so keeping up a steady release cadence on TH-cam is a lot easier this way. Again, appreciate the comments - thanks for listening, and take care!

Holy crap. Everything about this story says it should be exciting, but I am falling asleep waiting for something to happen, 2 hours in.

Good story. The reading is so bad it is unlistenable. Every once in a while he gets the word stress right - almost by accident...unlistenable
Really, there are worse, way worse.

So the paragons are slavers and they are supposed to be the good guys, sounds familiar.
No reason to insult African and Arab cultures.
