I love this book, seriously. I'm trying to write a superhero book myself, and I love the way you express your character's inner thoughts and how well-paced the book is. It gets straight into the action, from verbal and inner conflict to super-powered endeavors. Already bought the second book to the series because somehow I knew I would enjoy the first one just based off of the interesting story. The first day I started reading, I already left off on chapter 12. I'll definitely be buying and reading the rest of the series -- thank you for the amazing writing.

When I remember how stupid we were as 16 year olds. The addition of meta powers boggles the mind . I've definitely found another author to binge listen to . Love your work Mr Reynolds . 👏

Ok, fine. I will buy book 2. I like what I have read so far. i stand by my comments relating to narrative and dialogue polish, but I also stand by my instinct about your world building skills. This world feels solid and it has depth. You have a great explanation for super powers that still has huge mystery involved. You have shown us basically a core sample. Narrow in scope but deep enough to make people want to know what happened next, or what happened elsewhere. Well done.

It was great story, but I spent the entire time convinced that Sara/Sera/Sarah was Iris.
Love the action and realism. Does anyone know anymore books with action like this (throwing people really far through buildings, fighting large monsters etc etc)
Read this book on watpad when I was like 12/13 and have been trying to find it since found this vid a couple of weeks ago. Great story, one of the first books to get me into reading.
Once again excellent character building I feel your main character will be a very well prepared and experienced superhero, due to his unfortunate origins which no pain no gain once again kudos I can tell you put a lot of thought into your story great story

I really want to hear book 2 again, I’m probably going to end up paying for the series.
Rather than beg you to post your work for free, I decided to buy your other books in this series on Amazon. Thank you for introducing me to another author that is worthy of investing in their work. I hope others do the same. No one wants to work for free. Even if they expect to get entertainment for free.

I ragged on the author hard. I really enjoyed this book. I'm older and was raised in a abusive home so I a less likely to understand a weak kid trying to figure out how to help and to just do what needs done .. I sincerely hope there's more of this author put up. I like his creativity towards the end. Very satisfying.❤

About an hour and a half into this, and fully committed. I like your world building, you have got the comic book world flavour with enough real world limitations to make something new and interesting. Your narration and dialogue are a little awkward, you will get that part, dont be afraid to use your thesaurus. Have you read any Pratchett? I find his work very educational in that regard.

I say this a a hopeful writer who respects anyone who has finished, edited and published a book.
Meta is Tom Reynolds debut book, debut books are usually their first entry.
I deleted my rag, it was unfair. But if you find a editor who is honest and you trust them...use them. A fan.

Very good series👍 I finished rise of the circle and knowing how that book ended it has me with some speculation about how Connor actually got the meta bands attached after being stabbed
***SPOILERS****
I'll keep it as vague as possible but in rise of the circle...considering what Connor went through or where he went to...
As Connor is dying from the stab in the woods, he has a vision of his father, is it possible that it wasn't just a dying kids delirium? Maybe his father WAS actually there and slipped the bands on his dying son? Maybe there's more answers in the next book, can't wait to hear it. It's not on Google playstore.

Absolutely, Kirby killed it. One of the best narrators out there, imo.
Excellent story - it's now one of my favorite superhero origin stories ever - and your characters to me are just as good if not better than some are most marvel / DC characters - lm loving your world and Universe that you are building - I believe this would make an excellent movie - and every good universe has it's version of the B Man, by the way midnight which I thought was one of if not the best version i ever encountered - even more bats than bats

Just a little over an hour in.....how many times(and words)does the main character have to angst over accidentally killing a "monster"? Great story overall. I just burn out with the repeat of story.

Altogether an entertaining book.
But written with extreme lack of knowledge of just about everything that gets mentioned.

It is entertainig but the writing is a bit weird at times. So many coincidences and strange timings. Feels like the first or one of the first books of a young author.
Where book 2?

A pity that the author has no clue of physics.
Is this a kids book? Like those cherub stories? The reader fails to enunciate so many words. Odd.
