No joke. I farmed in that domain for a while to gear my Alhaitham and to fix my EM Sands-less Nahida......I got like ONE of each, and the substats are useless.

I am a big hoarder of fragile resin (for literally no reason) but my biggest fear is to spend like 50 of them and get absolutely nothing out of it. It does sound like this guy definitely had way to high of standards for artifacts, or at least didn't know what stats to look for.
I used like 4k original resin worth of fragile resin and only spent it on talents and world bosses and that helped me a fuck ton. I would never use fragile on artifacts unless you're a whale
2:24 *_note on teambuilding for those who care:_* normally i recommend a hyperblooming electro support (kuki/dori or even fischl/yae) as an electro slot with haitham+ hydro, over beidou as she doesn't hyperbloom, or 2 electros and quicken spam without hydro, but since this account doesn't have like any of those characters, i figured XQ's damage will make up for any lost reactions esp with a second dendro character, so generally: beidou would be replaced w/ kuki or even fischl (or used as a 2nd electro). for most players, but given this account's lack of characters i opted to recommend a taser/salad team with al haitham, until he gets fischl/kuki/yae/etc or bennett (for ›l team). also this was recorded last abyss = less healing is OK (depends on abyss). & he had informed me that he wanted to play al haitham + tighnari over a sucrose team (which could've been really good too).:D
Artifact system is such a nasty newbie trap and strongbox made it even worse. Now if you don't already know what's a piece worth keeping, you'll be doing massive damage to your account. And newer units requiring more EM made it even harder to understand.
Something about bad luck in this video reminded me of something that happened to me: it took me 9 months from when I started to get a 5-star circlet of any set with EM mainstat, and that's while keeping my resin from getting full, just constantly switching between farming bosses (both normal bosses and weekly) and artifacts, I had pretty good artifacts on most of my used characters, I just somehow never got a 5-star EM circlet, which was fairly painful as I was using both Sucrose and Kazuha.
I swear the drop rate for those has changed. It took ages for me to get a VV EM headpiece for my Kazuha, until unkown thousands of resin were spent I finally got one. Then yesterday I filled the strongbox twice on VV and got two EM hats from it. Go figure.
yeh happened to me too with hydro goblets been playing since release and a childe ayato main since their first run and also use xingqiu yelan alot but couldn't get a single goblet with more than 10 cv for a long time didn't even needed onset ones cause I had farmed best sets for all 4 on other slots my childe and xingqiu finally got their goblets but yelan and ayato are still waiting
I honestly think most TH-camrs hold artifacts too highly and it makes people spend resin poorly on srtifacts - your artifacts don't have to be God pieces, most of them being mid are perfectly fine and can still definitely 36 star the abyss. I'm glad you mentioned just going for mainstats
Zajef is the GOAT Genshin CC because he uses actually attainable artifacts and still clears Abyss easily. If your Yelan has 100 CR and 400 CD but no HP or ER you’re gonna suffer.
I love this so much. A true and relatable account situation. I think oldbie and "rich streamers" should stop the assumption that everyone has bennett or good weapon. Of course bennett OR in abyss record is 98~99% but the record only records success 36 star run, which means it never show the truth. Weapons is also pure RNG too. Of course, AR 54 with bad build is "skill issue" but the truth is still there: not every F2P or low spender has an insane "3.7 abyss is hard but my absolutely F2P 4 star team dominate it" tittle, for most part, they are just casual players who loves to use favorite characters. My best advice is to work on favorite character one by one, aim for 33 stars because 36 star is not a "challenge", it's a lottery: you can only 36 star if you invest 1-2 years of farming, your favorite character must be strong and in the meta, and the abyss formation must allow you to use the team comp you've prepared. And for 50 primo, that's not enough to cover the cost of insanity.

I have never understood people who can't buy the unit they need and CAN BUY for the goddamn starglitter. I got 2 Fiscl, 1 Lisa and 1 Kaeya from the shop. It is literally cheaper than rolling for the 4* on the banner. 34 starglitter is 7 pulls... not even a 10 pull.
I can definitely confirm having high standards makes you throw away a LOT of mid pieces that you actually need. That and not being told artifacts can't double up on the stats (as in, a crit rate piece can't roll into crit rate for the subs). I threw away so many sands in particular that were actually fine because of this, and the shock I had finding this out after almost a year of play actually made me have a breakdown lol
I strongly believe the reason they stacks a ton of em into their characters is because they think the elemental mastery stat just means the higher em = character more powerful, simply because the character can master their element better. I made the same mistake too at my early game
Yup, that recommended Alhaitham team was literally my primary Cyno team before I got Baizhu: it works well in Abyss as long as you don't need an archer or to break a lot of cryo shields since they're a bit slow at that.
Thank you for your advice regarding artifacts because I literally have a habit on spending 2-3 fragile resins for artifact domains and straight away strongboxing the mid ones although it has one or two good main stats and sub stats for a specific character. Now, I only have 14 fragile resins left but with like 30-ish five star artifacts although most of my resins were spent for artifacts. The worst part is that I'm not even a meta player so spiral abyss is not that important to me, I just like seeing a high crit ratio for no reason. I'm starting to pre-farm for raiden now so I'm glad I watch this video before repeating the same habit and end up having nothing for her 🫡 will start being wise in spending resins and maybe will rest from strongbox for a period of time.

BRUH I don't get why players don't incrementally upgrade their artifacts. When farming, as zyox said, get the main stats and slap them on the character. Start leveling them as well. Once you find better ones, you can either feed your previous ones into it or level them on their own if you're not sure they're gonna be better or you know you need more of them. Like... Literally most games, no matter casual or not, focus on resource management on some level so if you're a "gamer", then you've GOTTA be at least decent at spending resources efficiently!
an ar 56 player came into my world to fight specters but i literally decided to help them as they were constantly dying LMAO i felt bad bc it looked as if i were flexing my yae (yes i think 32k is good for her burst consistently)
Even as a F2P you can still research what individual characters need as stats / weapons, how do they interact with other characters and figure out a team comp around your favourite character.

I find it alarming that he neglected both Sucrose and Xiangling for Lisa traveler and Beidou, for free players they should focus more on building supports after finishing 2-3 DPSs, I also didn’t get banet until rank 50 and by that time he was too overhyped that i threw him and fish girl at LV 1into expeditions.
Tbh its kinda understandable why he dont use XL & Sucrose, the lack of Bennett is the definite answer why, and he also have no built Pyro carries. Also Socks recommends playing Alhaitham & Tighnari which both doesn't need anemo. The units raised are alright, its just their gears & teambuilding that are questionable

I started genshin like almost 3 moths ago and I got lured into the artifact trap and I used all of my fragile resin on artifacts and then strongboxed and got not a single thing out of it 😭 biggest mistake ever. Now I'm over here at AR52 and 1 fragile resin fml
Feeling so called out, I'm also ar 54, I don't have a single sac or fav sword (still working on the catch), no Fischl and literally no dendro except for the defaults...... lost all my 50/50s and only get 5 stars at like 70+ wishes. My rng luck is non existent, help 💀

i had to pull 80 times and lost 50-50 to mona and still didnt got benett until 2 or 3 months ago we had benett on star glitter shop and i finally got my first benett ( playing since 1.8 ). i am happy that i can finally make him c1 after 4.0 main event😅
Bennet and fischl were my 1st 4star pulls on my lost account i had no idea how useful those 2 were until i had to start a new account and didnt have a Bennett for MONTHS it was awful
My account also looks like this, i have characters but i dont have much artifacts sets to make 2 teams . I farm artifacts like a 2-3 week and i get is 1 or 2 decent pieces.
Don't worry about that. It takes much longer to get decent artifacts unless you get lucky. Farmed cryo/hydro domain for months and never got decent hydro artifacts for childe and only got enough artifacts for a mid Kaeya. Settled for functional childe and decent Kaeya. Ended up giving up on the domain and strongbox unless artifacts from other domains. Keep going and like Zy0x said lower your standards. You might have to settle for useable for a while.
I am ar 58 and i never used strongbox. I use daily resin and farm more artefacts and use trash pieces to feed the new cracked artefact i got from domain run. I have 103 fragile resin btw.
I know zy0x is doing it for content but his account reviews really helps a lot those players who are struggling to clear (abyss) content and building proper teams. If I were them I'm surely be thankful to have someone help ❤
Since Eula is still an unreleased character I'm just guessing from what I've heard, but I imagine for hyperbloom, you'd want to have teammates that can proc hyperbloom off field. Ex. Nahida (or dendro traveler), xingqiu, kuki. She doesn't have the best synergy in hyperbloom teams though. She kinda just applies hydro with Xingqiu's skill and gives extra physical damage. I guess depending on the team you can get a couple of shatters in, but she doesn't scale off em so the damage isn't going to be that high. If you really want to use Eula but you only have hyperbloom characters developed, or you just want to put her in the team because it sounds fun, then go for it. At the end of the day you should build characters and teams because they're fun, not because they're meta.
F2p, new player as of the beginning of this year. I knew nothing about meta but wanted Alhaitham cause I like this character. Ended up with him, abd a C6 Bennett that I thought "oh no, a C6 4 star character :( That sucks :(" Yeah anyway I love you like my own son Benny

Ain't no way. I am complete f2p playing for a year and I can clear 12. Granted it's not with 36 stars but I can clear it fine. I am still building my characters. Haven't had the best luck either. Only ever won two 50/50's.
@@vivendel4840 I have the characters I just spent most of my resin on leveling everyone for a year and my artifacts are terrible my raiden that carries one team has 58/140 crit and a lot of er so that teams fine but my other team has a best set of 72/121 crit and can't kill the floor before dying even though that side has zhongli on it

I wanted to use Beidou since i started playing. And i got her only about 4 months after. But she did not work with anything i had and wanted to pull. So she was lvl 20 for three more months until just now when i got Eula. Strong claimore women united. And i love Beidou so much, she is so cool! Eula with goddamn dragons striking electricity is another lvl of fun 🎉

I've regularly farmed deepwood/gilded since 3.0 dropped and I still don't have an EM mainstat circlet for Nahida
I strongboxed a quadrillion of artifacts until I got a "mid" CW crit rate circlet for Hutao lmao

I strongly believe the reason they stacks a ton of em into their characters is because they think the elemental mastery stat just means the higher em = character more powerful, simply because the character can master their element better. I made the same mistake too at my early game

I honestly woulda rolled on Cyno's banner. if he got him, he'd have a hyper/quickbloom unit, and it gives them an excuse to try and get bennet.
Yup, that recommended Alhaitham team was literally my primary Cyno team before I got Baizhu: it works well in Abyss as long as you don't need an archer or to break a lot of cryo shields since they're a bit slow at that.

Thank you for your advice regarding artifacts because I literally have a habit on spending 2-3 fragile resins for artifact domains and straight away strongboxing the mid ones although it has one or two good main stats and sub stats for a specific character. Now, I only have 14 fragile resins left but with like 30-ish five star artifacts although most of my resins were spent for artifacts. The worst part is that I'm not even a meta player so spiral abyss is not that important to me, I just like seeing a high crit ratio for no reason.
I'm starting to pre-farm for raiden now so I'm glad I watch this video before repeating the same habit and end up having nothing for her 🫡 will start being wise in spending resins and maybe will rest from strongbox for a period of time.

BRUH I don't get why players don't incrementally upgrade their artifacts.
When farming, as zyox said, get the main stats and slap them on the character. Start leveling them as well. Once you find better ones, you can either feed your previous ones into it or level them on their own if you're not sure they're gonna be better or you know you need more of them.
Like... Literally most games, no matter casual or not, focus on resource management on some level so if you're a "gamer", then you've GOTTA be at least decent at spending resources efficiently!

I find it alarming that he neglected both Sucrose and Xiangling for Lisa traveler and Beidou, for free players they should focus more on building supports after finishing 2-3 DPSs, I also didn’t get banet until rank 50 and by that time he was too overhyped that i threw him and fish girl at LV 1into expeditions.
Tbh its kinda understandable why he dont use XL & Sucrose, the lack of Bennett is the definite answer why, and he also have no built Pyro carries.
Also Socks recommends playing Alhaitham & Tighnari which both doesn't need anemo. The units raised are alright, its just their gears & teambuilding that are questionable

My account also looks like this, i have characters but i dont have much artifacts sets to make 2 teams . I farm artifacts like a 2-3 week and i get is 1 or 2 decent pieces.
Don't worry about that. It takes much longer to get decent artifacts unless you get lucky. Farmed cryo/hydro domain for months and never got decent hydro artifacts for childe and only got enough artifacts for a mid Kaeya. Settled for functional childe and decent Kaeya. Ended up giving up on the domain and strongbox unless artifacts from other domains. Keep going and like Zy0x said lower your standards. You might have to settle for useable for a while.

I am ar 58 and i never used strongbox. I use daily resin and farm more artefacts and use trash pieces to feed the new cracked artefact i got from domain run.

Since Eula is still an unreleased character I'm just guessing from what I've heard, but I imagine for hyperbloom, you'd want to have teammates that can proc hyperbloom off field. Ex. Nahida (or dendro traveler), xingqiu, kuki. She doesn't have the best synergy in hyperbloom teams though. She kinda just applies hydro with Xingqiu's skill and gives extra physical damage. I guess depending on the team you can get a couple of shatters in, but she doesn't scale off em so the damage isn't going to be that high. If you really want to use Eula but you only have hyperbloom characters developed, or you just want to put her in the team because it sounds fun, then go for it. At the end of the day you should build characters and teams because they're fun, not because they're meta.

I wanted to use Beidou since i started playing. And i got her only about 4 months after. But she did not work with anything i had and wanted to pull. So she was lvl 20 for three more months until just now when i got Eula. Strong claimore women united. And i love Beidou so much, she is so cool! Eula with goddamn dragons striking electricity is another lvl of fun 🎉
