I love how you take Levi’s pack off before taking off your backpack and how after you’ve given the dogs pets the goats lift their heads in anticipation of getting their own, and they do. They obviously enjoy the affection and are used to getting it when it’s their turn. Thanks for taking me camping in places I would never get to go.
That's an awesome observation you made and I'm thankful you can see that, some don't. They are all like family and treated as such, they mean a lot to us. Thanks for coming along on our journey!!

Fantastic video, one i will rewatch! I have to tell you, I'm no longer camping due to a monumental case of arthritis - I've had 2 hip replacements - or I'd be all over your products for camping. So i do what I can and share your videos and tell people about what you do. We just went through Helene - or, rather it went through us on its way to NC - and i gotta tell ya....i had instant regret on not having a Firebox Stove!!! No power, no internet, and a freezer full of food going down. HOWEVER, you, sir, did help! One key point thats always present in your videos is that anything you can cook at home in your kitchen, you can cook on a campfire. I hunted until i found our old propane camp stove - not nearly as good as a Firebox, but we were grateful we still had it. We didn't throw out food. We cooked it. We had warm hot meals while waiting about a week for our power to come back on, and we were grateful! So i kept thinking about you and the goats and the dogs, and that anything can be cooked camping out style, and you gave me some real hope and some skills to apply. So thank you. I'm thinking i might go after the Firebox after all for the next power outage! PS. We had trees and branxhes down every, power lines down everywhere, and our road flash flooded, but our home did not get damaged, and we and the dog and cats were safe! My heart breaks for North Carolina and Florida. We're in upstate South Carolina.

Dam, i haven't had a trout like that for a min, and you're making me want to go out with my firebox to go do it this weekend. Thanks for a good adventure
Looks like a great spot Steve. I could tell from your clothing and boots the weather must be on the cool/cold side. What were your daytime highs and night time low temps if you know? The buzzing from some flies during the day could still be heard on camera. Do you have a distinct lowering of flying insects population at this time of year at that altitude? That cobbler was amazing. Just improved sitting in the cold overnight. All you were lacking was a cold glass of milk to go along with it, or some half and half! ha ha. Maybe try mixing the yellow cake mix in the melted butter then pour the batter over the peaches?
So far we haven't had any run-ins with predators, knock on wood. I do bring protection on each trip. The goats were bottle fed from a young age and trained daily so they do great. They think I'm part of the herd now.
