Oh Kerry, you're so brave! Now that you've done this schmooshing thing I'll have to give it a go in spite of the mess. I liked the blue 'dizzy' one and loved the stars stencil, the silver was a challenge for sure. I LOVE the flower you did with the pinks, now that was a great idea and good save for this, they all turned out great in the end!
Thank you,I was fun but something I noticed is too much water an it won't work well. Even though it didn't look great with the flowers before not knowing what I would get I refuse to waste them. I wanted everyone to see it can be saved an something nice come out of it. The dizzy one I like but next time I will have to go lighter and make sure the ink is dry before doing the shadow color. It sure is fun learning and trying.❤️
For the smooshing w/the stencil you could try Pixi spray (or something similar) on the back to help keep the color from spreading beneath the stencil. I have watched some just drag their paper in the colors mixed with water on their work surface. GinaK did something with her Twirl stencil, but I kept dozing off and never did see how she ended up doing what she did. :)
I did notice with less water it didn't bleed as much. Bet if I used water color paper it wouldn't have bled as much. It was fun to just play without rules to see what I would end up with. I have done the drag it looks abstract,if you are wanting multi colors without a print, it's a perfect technique. My ocd of making such a mess was battling my creativity lol still fun❤️
@@kerrycanale9472 I've never done it because of the mess in general. I have a hard time splattering/spattering cards because of it...and I lost my spatter/splatter box....it was a nice big box too. When I did it last I had it all over the place....not doing that again until I get another box in the mail. I can't stand the mess it makes on the desk. That's why I don't like making bread anymore, it's so messy and my hands are so sticky & messy...I'm a mess myself...lol Don't know why it bothers me so much now, but it's a pain. I do have 5 cards to make for the first week of July so I need to go start....I've had issues with my neck since last week and it started getting worse over the weekend, so I haven't been there since Sunday. So, I need to get in there. :)
@fairabbigailgrace I so understand,I need to hit the pause but cause I need to stop and wash my hands and clean the mess. I am just as bad in the kitchen,I have to wipe things down and wash my hands many times. The sticky hands or just feeling there maybe something on my hands sends me right to the sink. I hope you can get your cards made and get relief for your neck. It's miserable to have neck pain. Sending healing prayers❤️
