Aikido loses 10/10 times against most any trained fighter. It's looks awesome when Seagal does it in movies, but that's it.

In aikido, the desired outcome is to de escalate conflict and preserving the possibility of reconciliation.
In combat sports, this outcome is unavailable.
So what you mean to say is that aikido is unable in the very specific context of combat sports.

@@jamesbyrne3033 no. You're wrong. There are other real grappling arts in our world where that outcome is not only available, but way more realistically achievable.

You’re right about one thing, there are many skills that you learn which can achieve this outcome.
The thing that you might not realise is that when you train in these skills with the intention of achieving this outcome, you are training in aikido.

@@jamesbyrne3033 "reconciliation"??? There won't ever be any of that! If attacked, it's a battle to death.

      You’re imagining a power fantasy.
I’m talking about the practicalities of real life.
In the real world most people will never find themselves in a “battle to the death” and if they did, unarmed martial arts wouldn’t be of much if any use.
On the other hand, there are hundreds of millions of people in the world who work in caring professions.
And if you have adult patients, to whom you have a duty of care, who regularly have explosive violent outbursts, through no fault of their own, then you don’t want a battle, you want to reconcile while keeping everyone safe from harm.
In real life you want harmony, not battle.

Why are Ninjitsu people always portrayed as some dues doing backflips and other gymnastics? That’s absolute BS, Ninjitsu is about simple fast movements, maximum damage with minimal effort.

Most peoples dally lives don’t involve battles and if they did, unarmed martial arts wouldn’t be of any use.
People practice martial arts for fitness, for fun or to enrich their lives in other ways.
      Relax.

‘Ninja masters’? Or just aikido uke in a ninja costume? I don’t really see anything which I would not see in a average aikido lesson in my local dojo (with a 6th Dan aikido sensei I must add)

I confirm, i hâve some practice in AÏKIDO and UKE or a student is juste wearing a NINJA costume ,it' s juste Ridiculous of thinking that he will be a NINJA Warrior of ancients times. A true NINJA had many skills of THE practice of killing anybody .They were THE SEAL ,THE S.A.S ,THE SPÈCIAL FORCES and THE BLACK OPS in Each time of these ancient period and Middle âge. An AIKIDO Master event If he had been Grand Master Morihei UESHIBA couldn't face and win a fight with a Real NINJA Warrior . They were pratically unbeatable...
