    Just been looking at my collection in my toy room. Got several MoC AFAs 1984 and 1982 MOC Graded figures.
    Original box sets and loose figures on plinths displayed.
    Then I've come online and found your super vid - wow super collection dude like home from home!
    Even though the majority of your collection is loose it's fantastic and worth thousands and thousands of dollars!! Superb dude !
    Met David Prowse himself dressed in the SUIT Darth VADER in May 1983 when he was opening a New Star Wars toy shop ahead of the release of ROTJ in 1983.
    Interesting story actually!!!
    The lad Infront of us in the line. David Prowse dressed as Vader clipped the lad Infront of me round the head!!!!!
    The lad Made a negative comment that Prowse didn't appreciate and yep the boy Infront of myself then me a 7 year old, my sister and mom. The boy infront was clipped Over the head by Darth Vader!! (Prowse)
    The glove of Vader hitting the boy's head!!
    I MEAN HOW COOL!!!
    THAT LAD CAN ALWAYS SAY ....."HE WAS ABUSED BY DARTH VADER!!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂TRUE STORY!!
    Best wishes from the United Kingdom
    Cal

      I’m fortunate to have a hollow cheek tube Sand Tusken from my childhood. I never played with it, so it’s near mint. I should have never opened it.

    Once again a beautiful large collection of variants that you have on that focus shelf. Still have the decals of the millenium falcon 1981 unused with veichle. Your diorama is the Best I've ever seen.

    You probably already know this,, but somebody stole one of Steve Sandsweet's Rocket firing Boba Fett prototypes. It was someone he trusted, and let roam the museum freely. I remember watching a short documentary about it. The guy was stealing high end items and selling them to other collectors. He would tell them not to tell anyone he sold it to them because he'd already promised it to someone else, which was a red flag for the buyer, because if he'd already promised to sell it to someone else why was he reaching out to offer it to him. He stole several things off Steve. I believe Steve got back most of the stuff, but it changed the way he allowed people to walk around the museum, and his trust in others.

    • @Robcuttlechannel
      @Robcuttlechannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow! I didn’t know that. That’s terrible.
      I got to meet Sansweet. He was really nice.
      Did he get the rocket fett back?

    • @michaelharrington75
      @michaelharrington75 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Robcuttlechannel Yes. He got the Boba Fett back. There used to be a documentary called 'The Dark Side of Collecting' here on TH-cam. It seems to be gone now, but a summary of the story can be heard with footage from the documentary on 'Junkman' channel. The guy (Carl Cunningham) was pretty much ousted from the collecting community. He was found guilty of felony theft of value over $200K. When word got out some of the evil minded collectors got the guys information, found out who his kids were, and started harassing them. I'm not sure if Steve, and other victims ever retrieved all their stolen items, or not? This happened in 2013.

    Congratulations on an astonishingly good display! I've seen many trooper builds, but never a farm boy Luke's!
    I’m based in the UK and I'm trying to understand something about Palitoy. They manufactured the playsets and some of the vehicles, but they didn’t injection mold the figures, did they? Yet, I've seen Star Wars figures with the Palitoy sticker on the card. My understanding is that they must have had the figures shipped in loose from other factories and then packaged them at Palitoy. Would you agree with that?

    • @Robcuttlechannel
      @Robcuttlechannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They had the figures made in Asia. The only figures that I know of that they made were the Olive Hair Farm Boy Luke, and the Pale Face Geisha Leia Bespin. There could be others though.

    So all those, Lukes, Bobas etc on your "focus"shelf are different from each other? That many variants makes my head spin! I have a Luke, a DT Luke and a Brown hair Luke. I think if I try to collect more variants than that, I would lose my mind!

      It’s not with intent to troop build. I collect the different variants. Coo and date stamps, paint colors, etc. that’s why I have over 50 Lukes and Boba Fetts too.

      I had around 80 figures from my childhood sitting in boxes since 1984. In 2011 I put them on display and figured I buy what I needed to have a complete set. Then I got hooked on variants.

    Variants and factory changes are truly the domain of the newer collector. I can’t imagine anything more boring. Some Hong Kong factory used a slightly different paint chip than a Macau factory. Wow. Neat?
