Looks frustrating af and completely unplayable with the deck controls, but the game runs amazing! Viable docked for sure.

Wow, the controller support actually looks really good! I would definitely want a mouse or the trackpad for this one though
Controller support is coming, its very beta, but anyone can turn it on its in the options.

I've been dota2 too on my pc using Playstation Controller.. ive had 25 games via bot and almost 30 on Randoms. But limited hero pool.

dota 2 is my todler nephews favorite game. he uses a 360 controller now but with the trackpad, its pretty dang playable. serious meta hero players usually have custom configs anyways, wouldnt be that hard to find something that works for meepo or lone druid. im so close to ordering one of these its frustrating

This is why ml, lol wildrift didnt have last hit mechanism and creep argo control because it seem almost impossible to do so. Well maybe you could enjoy this on low rank but in higher medal you will be difficult to win lane and getting easly caught by enemy ganking because lack of keybinding compare to pc version. For compare in pc version we use 3 finger for mouse and 5 finger on keyboard meanwhile for steamdeck we only use (maybe) 4? Finger only

yeah, to make a moba fit the mobile controls, the game has to be created around that restriction, you can just plug in a keyboard and mouse on a steam deck but at that point its just a laptop with extra steps

Might as well just use the Decks desktop mode and plug to a monitor. But on the GO you want to keep marches casual and practice more with the controls

Imagine you're Offlane and you're being lined up with SF and your hero is Visage, I'm sure CSing will be a nightmare after 5 minutes.

MOBAS are becoming more casual and gamepad friendly due to people playing on smart phones.
Making it more accesible, and user / gamepad friendly should definitely attract more users

Bro accidentally using attack move to run away, the pain is real. That facepalm moment after realizing got felt. Gotta say they did do a pretty good job with controller support though, although it still feels like a handicap playing like that overall it looks decent.

Dota gets updated once a year or less, lets not waste it on a deck update.
It's already good in that it can run dota, but it would probably be better to change the movement to a joystick.

The Steam Deck counts as a PC. He plays against PC players.

It's awesome to see pretty stable +60fps with decent graphics on. This looks totally playable, but maybe with a ⌨️🖱️ plugged in.

@@zaquedavis3391IMO, this is better than a laptop (if you don't have one/powerful one). And steam deck has dock mode just like switch.
I would probably not do super competitive gaming on the Deck but for more casual matches or practice against A.I. on the go is totally cool.
Matches against other Deck or gamepad users seems reasonable.
MOBAS are becoming more gamepad and touchscreen friendly due to people playing them on Smartphones. So am sure DotA will be incorporating more of these features. While at the same time keeping it's essence for the more hardcore and competitive players
@@petersdarkheart It's as accurate as the mouse but he doesn't know how to use the gyroscope. If you want to know how it works, try playing with Dualsense, Switch Pro Controller or even the Steam Controller with the gyro turned on. Play Aim Lab for 30 minutes until you get used to the gyro and then play a game that doesn't support controls and you'll understand how accurate it is.
