    Watched your video - took 4 min.
    Ran to the store for 2x w5w bulbs - 10 min
    Used the trick with unclipping the electric cables from behind the bumper to get more slack -Replaced both lights myself - 10 min.
    Thank you for your uploads! Its such a nice feeling to fix car things by yourself, especially when you're still inexperienced 👍

    Thank you for another really helpful video Cyd. I love watching your videos and learning from them. You always explain things in such an approachable way and your voice and way of speaking is very friendly.
    A tip if others also got "unlucky" :
    The cables were not long enough to allow me to pop the unit out, so I tried removing the bulb holder with the unit still attached but I just could not get a good enough grip to twist it. I decided to go under the car to see if it would be easier and then saw that the cable was attached to a small hook holding it in place, and if I could just temporarily get it lose from the hook, there would more lenght to it in the back. So I did that and afterwards I was able to get enough cable to pop the whole unit out and twist it the easy way.
    I wanted to share this as a possible option in case anyone else was having trouble getting it done.

    Just a few days ago I was sitting in my C1 whilst looking at another C1 nearby thinking about how to change these bulbs, then your video arrived, how funny. Thanks for another useful video.

      Thanks that's great to hear. I do try hard to stick to the subject at hand and whilst sometimes i get a little too 'in depth' for some, neither do I want to put off the newbies. It's a fine distinction but I think I manage it most of the time.

    Super advice. Used on Peugeot 107. Was able to reposition harness to create more slack. If bulb ever needs replaced again that additional slack will be useful. Thank you for sharing. Will check your site for more tips/instructions.

    Nice upgrade. Those LED bulbs are also more white and when in the dark if you drop something on the floor you can see around better. That bumper part also rattles a lot so filament bulbs will blow, LEDs will last years

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A bit of duct tape can help out with the rattle. Have you seen my series on LEDs in these cars? Ours is all LED now:

    A trick to easily deal with the short wire: just unclip it from where it is held a bit further toward the side of the car (inside the bumper), it will give just enough wire length to pull the light out of its socket with the wire still attached, making it easy to proceed with the replacement.

    Hi, thanks for this video. Question, does this throw a warning light on the dashboard since an LED requires less power? Hence will show as if the bulb is cut on the dashboard? Peugeot 107 is the car

      Where the bulbs fit into their holder, there are small contacts. Try closing the contcts closer together using a pick or small screwdriver.

    Hi Cyd, wanted to know if on my Peugeot 107, Iv disarmed the passenger airbag. While it you is disarmed should the light on the dash be continuously red, continuous orange or flashing red? If it’s just continuously red is that an issue or something faulty

      I found ours came out real easy even though it was the first time in 6 years. Is it possible someone has damaged it it the past and glued it in? A 'new' unit might be in order.
