C1/107/Aygo dashboard bulb change

  • In this episode, I change the bulbs in the dashboard of Project C1. This is a relatively simple task that anyone with a basic tool kit can achieve and is a very cheap modification. The bulbs necessary for the job are a T5 capless type in a colour of your choice. I decided to go for red to match the red & black interior in my C1 and this is the same procedure for a Peugeot 107 and a Toyota Aygo.

    for anyone who is struggling to take off the connector white clip thing, you can take it off. It's really fiddly, you have to make sure you hold the clips together tight.. I struggled alot, so my father helped. m However he struggled too at 1st, but he got it off. Tips- patience, don't give up, allow enough room. , hope this helps anyone.

    Those "tabs" you are telling people need to be depressed DO NOT HOLD THAT ASSEMBLY IN! It is held in by two small catches on top of the connector. Your "tabs" are simply to steady the plug against the back of the bulb holder assembly and squeezing them will never Posen the connector!

    Could this be causing a drain on my battery cause it keeps dying.

    • @DABDIY
      @DABDIY  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have a parasitic drain somewhere. The best thing to do would be to go to an auto electrician for this because they’re notoriously hard to find, however if you have the facility, see if there is any voltage drop across every fuse while everything is turned off. Also, try removing the bulbs you installed and see if that stops the drain.
