    1 get to work early stay a little late
    2 make a "to do" checklist
    3 don't ask questions you can figure out on your own
    4 always do more than what your asked to do ( go the extra mile)
    5 never be doing nothing
    6 don't complain about work who you work with ( don't get involved in gossip)
    7 turn complaints into suggestion ( bring solutions )
    8 ignore the haters

    • @AdvicefromDad

      Laziness and apathy are hard to break. She a believer? If so, one thing that inspires and motivates me is to treat everything I put my hands to as worship. Even if it’s a meaningless task. Do it with excellence as if working for the Lord. God loves attention to detail and excellence. I know in a small way, I’m storing treasures in Heaven when I work this way. 👍🏼

    any advice for someone who masters a position and then gets so bored she quits. Also I overshare, and I would honestly honestly blame my disability except I’ve done that for my whole life I don’t understand social cues so I get nervous and don’t know when to shut up

    • @AdvicefromDad
      @AdvicefromDad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Was there a question in there somewhere that I missed? It’s great that you mastered the skill. It sucks that you got bored with it and couldn’t tap in to some higher level creativity to take it into other areas. But it sounds like you’ve quit that position, so maybe that’s out of the question unless you revive it. You are way ahead of the game by admitting that you use your disability as an excuse for things. Most people who do that are blind to it. Self awareness is the first step towards self improvement. If your disability prevent you from being in group settings where you learn social cues, you can simply pick up a lot of it from watching network television shows. Have an awesome day!

  • @ConniePrice4

    I tried "staying a little late" before and they made me out to be an inefficient worker who had trouble getting things done by quitting time.

    • @AdvicefromDad
      @AdvicefromDad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Woops. Yeah that can be tricky. Staying late only works if you’re going beyond what is asked in 8 hours. If you stretch out your normal tasks to last longer, then yeah, you’ll get called out. NOT saying that’s what you did. 😬

      It’s very easy to hate people who outwork you. I probably got that from co-workers rather than your boss (unless your boss didn’t want you take their job).
