When u take the no-kill tree too plant at the end of Christ-mas transition it first in the basement or someplace cool. It will be too much of a shock to the tree to take it from the warm house too outside.

Way back in the 1950/60s my parents always got a live tree that was planted in the spring. Don't like fake trees.
Always still replant the Christmas tree on our large acreage. Reminds our family of what happened throughout the year. Births, marriages, deaths are recorded in a book, so our family remembers the past, looking toward the future.

Never seen the appeal of Black Friday myself. I used to work in retail and if it's the same concept, the sale price is about the same as the original price. Love the live tree idea.

NEVER by "on-sale" electronics on Black Friday. Manufacturers specifically make cheaper, low quality versions of their popular models for that day. I discovered this the hard way when I had a TV blow out after a few weeks... after investigation, I learned the model number was for a specific manufacturing run only produced for Black Friday.

If you take fishing line and tie it around the top of the tree and then affix the other end to wall. You have wood walls so it would work just fine. It will straighten the tree.....That's what we've always done in the log home.

Great adventure with the Family. Love the Tree. Planting in the spring will be memorable. Is the Beautiful One trying to give us a hint? She's been on the Beans and Slaw kick for awhile lol. Learn how to 'steam eggs'. bring the water to boil but it can only be up to half of the height of the egg. Steam it for 6 minutes. What I do then is drop it into ice water then I tap on one end and take the egg out and put it into a cup. It is the perfect over easy egg without frying it. Just because I am who I am I either put truffle salt on it or I put Cholula hot sauce.

We keep our tree up until at LEAST January 6th and usually the 12th or so. Thats a solution.
