We had a way wet Apr/May/June in NE Texas. First time in 7 years we lost two birds in two days. All signs of coccidia. Eggs down by 75%. We went pharma to save the flock followed up with deep nutrition. Cleaned all runs and coops followed with Saturday Lime. 7 days post treatment egg production back to normal and happy healthy birds. Lesson learned
I know there are things in everyday life that need paid attention to but being present in your children's lives will pay off for them and you. That special attention is priceless. 🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿
I knew a farmer that fell from his tractor into the manure spreader and let me say he died an awful death, no wheelies with the tractor, Jonah, a bad idea!!!
Just a loving suggestion... keep the pig-shaw where it is and start your new rows just past them. Leave enough space to be able to move pig-shaw 4 long and 2 or 3 wide, then you won't have far to go adding manure etc. on both sides. Hope this was helpfull❤
With the jars breaking in the cooler. Try this. Put the warm jars in there BEFORE the ice packs. That way, you won't have such a drastic change in temp. That should prevent the breakage, if that's what's causing it.
@@ninabooker2904it’s actually not skim milk it’s 4% so it’s still considered whole milk. You can make farmers cheese, mozzarella, kefir, yogurt. When they put it in the separator then it’s true skim milk.
Its very odd about the jars breaking so often... at this point over the past few years that adds up to a lot of loss of milk and time spent cleaning up the mess. Generally when you have a container that is air tight sealed it becomes much more durable and strong. I'm wondering if by putting the jars in the ice bath in the cooler while they are still warm, with sealed lids, if the rapid cooling creates a vacuum (warm to cold = vacuum in a sealed environment) that makes them more prone to breaking when knocked around. Really its the only thing that makes sense at this point.
Justin, Rebecca, do you guys ever sit down with a nightly meeting on what the next projects are for the next couple of days, weeks or months? That way kids have some ideas on what you plans are next. Every great business leader have meetings with their partners in business for good direction.
So much progress & the kids are all growing up fast. So nice that the cousins can stay & have a fun visit! I love your new kitchen, Rebekah!Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
Haven't seen one of those manure spreader in a long time! My Dad had 2 huge commercial chicken houses growing for Tyson in the early 70's. When cleaning out the houses between batches of chickens he spread out over the fields when he first bought this farm, later bought a spreader truck, so much better and faster. That will work great on the amount of manure you have to handle
I really like this video show so much production every day. I wanna have something accomplished even if it’s just me there’s only three of us in this house. We are empty nesters, but my mind is always going on things. I gotta do whether it’s the working on the house we had to re-level it we’re going through the garage and decluttering. I have three garages full of stuff that I’ve been taking. It’s really hard for me Boys all grown have their families and work a lot so they live close by they help me when they can. It’s just really hard but I love a productive day every day should be a productive day.🌱🌱💚✌🏽
Hey Justin just pre ordered your homestead builds today will it still be here before Christmas and we loved your rooted life book. We have a homestead in the up state of South Carolina and we love y’all’s videos and we would love to meet y’all sometime.
Justin---You made an important observation about your dead chicken. You said you don't know the cause of the chicken's death. Perhaps, you should have the chicken's remains tested for disease or other determinative factors. In any case, it might be prudent for your family to stop eating your chickens' eggs until you have a definitive cause of your chicken's death.
I came of age in the 60s. To me people look much better with longer hair. Short reminds me of the ugly flat top and butch cuts of the late 50s and early 60s

Henry is growing up way too fast! Your house is almost ready. You all are very patient 🌻
I know there are things in everyday life that need paid attention to but being present in your children's lives will pay off for them and you. That special attention is priceless. 🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿
What a gift to spend so much time with your children. You are blessed indeed.

Henry......talking and telling papa everything........sweetheart
I'm exhausted just watching this video. 🤣🤣😆😆

The boys should be on Randolphs hip. Apprentices.
Jonah was for a long time! He learned a ton and loved it.
“Hey Bevis”. Hilarious! 😂

Our last 2 ranges came with conversation kits. That's strange that you needed to order one separately.
Hi.... Justin Rhodes and Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Where is y’all’s ear protection while on the tractor? Trust me… as you age you will wish you had used it.
If WW2 vets didn't complain about it, nor should I
So true! I wish I had used them while living on the ranch!
And they are hard of hearing. @korcommander
@@korcommander Every WW2 vet I knew was deaf. go figure.
@@korcommander enjoy your hearings aids xx
Omg , that huge box of supplements on the table. Why? 😮
Oh, you know, modern medicine is bad.
You wasted have the compost on the pasture. Best to move stock daily across four pastures. Minimal damage and maximum yield for the field
Maybe it’s just me, but I think it is hilarious that they painted double yellow lines on your road. Considering the large amount of traffic it has.
You should never let a small child ride on a open tracter, to many children get seriously hurt doing that
lol.
Dont go to a farm. You will have a perpetual anxiety attack.
Let your children do dangerous things safely. Otherwise, they will never succeed at anything.
Yesterday someone said to put rubber bands on the jars to keep them from knocking together and busting.
As a tax accountant, I take offense 😂 hopefully you have a 501c3 going😜
The big boys took to heavy equipment operating like they were born to it. 💪👍😁
Are you using the milky water out of the cooler for the plants?
In yesterday’s video Justin put skim milk on the pumpkin plants along the trellis. They usually give the skim milk to the pigs.

We've tried for years. Deaf ears.
I love that little yellow cottage. It is so perfect.

Great idea or even a white board with daily goals that can be changed
You all will need alot of help when your gardens that. Big
You mean more help than they already have?
Wow I don’t know how you keep it all going. Great job.
Lots of help.
Annie for now.

It’s good to see you healthy and making plans.
Love your farm but you jump around on content too much
Now this is the video I love to see 😍😊😊 🐔
As I said, before, you’re doing the best thing for your family in the future and presently by extending your garden
