Really good overview and explanations, thank you. What I'm personally missing from the game is different races, better skins and even more skills to create unique builds.. but so far it looks really cool!
I think TL is kind of an alternative mix between Lineage (75% ish) & Aion (25%) with modernized graphics. Generally both IPs were super successfull and still are up in every single region under constant development. If Amazon just monetizes it correctly, it will be the next big thing, considering Aion in it's peak / release time was THE WoW killer until they mismanaged it.
heard this game is already bombing in korea as the players aren't impressed with tab target and not enough p2w lol, looks meh to me, i'll hold out for chrono odyssey, ncsoft usually has a bad track record with monetization in the west
In Korea, Many people think that the Throne and Liberty (TL) is very interesting game. Anyone who does the TL will be satisfied with the game. Have a good time with TL.

For me combat feels really clunky especially for melee weapons, it remind me a lot to Bless online combat (which is not a good thing). I guess you can also compare it to xenoblade chronicles combat but with more "realistic" range which make it also more clunky than in XC
Cosmetics/skins on a lineage game is a bad idea. The game loses its soul in a way. Back in L2 you automatically knew who to avoid just by looking at them. Also some drops were so rare that it was crazy just by watching a guy wear it.
Well what can I say... I also played on korean server as ranged wand class and the melee enemies could hit me when I was like 10 metres away. Also you cannot equip wand and staff at the same time to switch between them in battle by pressing one button. You can only have either wand or staff. Also I was doing wolf event hunt and had 25 tails. But I decided to teleport to a stone a bit further away and all my wolf tails just dissapeared even before event was finished. So until they fix all these things before global launch im not playing anymore sadly.
10 meters away? they're probably throwing something at you cuz many melee enemies are equipped with throwing weapons. Of course you can equip staff & wand at the same time. It's literally one of the metas so far. The wolf tail thing, yeah, but I don't think it's something game-breaking. Just make sure you don't teleport outside the event area. I do believe a warning will pop before you leave the area though.
@@halos04245 regarding wand and staff ok i will have to login back to game and check again. But my oath even the basic melee low level wolves can hit me with basic attacks when I'm standing many metres away.
Game is cool) I hope now the craftsmen are finally free and with the experience gained and a full hand will be able to finally start remaking the good old L2 in a new next gen package but with old mechanics 😁🤞
Beware controversial opinion here 😅I think they made a big mistake trying to change the game after the backlash from the original version. The game was designed to cater to a particular audience, people who don't have all day to grind an MMO and want to do other stuff like streaming, studying, social media, general browsing etc. In today's day and age people's time is valuable and constantly being pulled in every direction, people have to be selective about where they place their attention. Throne and Liberty was originally designed to be a AAA-quality Casual MMO ideally played on a seperate screen or window. The idea being you make some choices in build, gear etc and you set it on auto-farm then do go do something else entirely. Every now and then you'll do some raids and other organised activity which you could schedule with friends and that would be when you would actively play the game. Once done back to auto-farm and you do something else. Yes this sounds very mobile-like but for a certain demographic of people this would have been the perfect game. Now they've changed it, you have to be focused on the game 100% of the time and can no longer multitask. You either play the game or you stop and do something else. Because the game was never designed to be played this way it is now a very average MMO in a very competitive market, I have no doubt its going to fail hard because of this change. I think it'll no longer be as popular as it would have been if it hadn't been changed because of the backlash. If they stuck to their guns and kept the AFK-farming aspect of the game with minimal input required it would have filled a particular niche in an over-saturated MMO market and would have been much more popular. Feel free to go nuts in the comments but its just what I think about the whole situation 😊 (btw I'm not into AFK-games and don't play them but I totally understand the appeal of them)
the game looks good , what im afraid is the western publishers they have the power to ruin this game . Per example , world of tanks , they have premium account to premium account to gain + 50 % more credits , same amount of credits you only had whit just a simple premium account in past . So yeah , the only ones who had the power and will to fight whit greedy publisers was Square Enix whit Final fantasy 14 . They wanted to be the same game everywhere whitout a game image alteration from the original. Peace !! !! !!

The exp drop when you die is the biggest joke in a mmorpg in 2023. Also mob farming to drop items or crafting materials explain the reason why they put auto grinding in the game at the first place. People definatelly will use bots.

You can see that they are doing basic melee hits when attacking without throwing anything whatsoever

One of my favorite things to do in games like this is AOE farm. What would you recommend for a off hand for staff for that purpose?
