    I think a really valuable card you might have perhaps overlooked is Amphin Mutineer. It removes problem creatures and it also just so happens to make tokens.

    Totally loved it! An awesome deck, I saw it and thought of it as a must buy for me 😂 A little away from my budget right now, but if I can, it's gonna be that one 🙌🏽😁 Have a nice week, Chris!

    I got really excited for Aether Mutation as a possible inclusion in the deck. Wasn't aware of the card's existence before, and seems absolutely perfect for this deck (I have been running it with Esix as a commander right out of the box). Great vid, thanks man!

    When using [Master of Waves] the equation for its effect is something close to this if it has a replacement effect like [Esix, Fractal Bloom]
    D*ds^(1)(D + D*ds^(1))*ds^(1) = T
    D= Devotion Check.
    ds= Doubling season type effect.
    (1) = Number of effects
    T = Tokens
    Here is an example:
    Without Doubling season
    3 × 1^1 × (3 + 3 × 1^1) × 1^1 = 18
    With Doubling season
    3 × 2^1 × (3 + 3 × 2^1) × 2^1 = 108
    If more then one doubling effect is applied change the 2^1 to a 2^2 and so on for each other effect.

      And for something like [Avenger of Zendikar]
      It would be.
      (T*ds^(1))*T*ds^(1) = T
      T = Tokens created.
      ds = Doubling season type of effect.
      (1) = Number of effects.
      Example
      (7 × 2^1) × 7 × 2^1 = 196

    Field of the Dead, with some mana base adjustment, will be a strong enabler in tandem with stuff like Meloku or Oboro. Also, Hullbreacher and windfalls create so many tokens..it’s almost frightening. Also Peregrine Drake and Palicnhron are great to make token copies of

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Note that hullbreacher will create lots of individual triggers of 1 token each - per card drawn. So it's actually not as effective as say a dockside which you can't run in these colors.

    The 3 mana oracle elemental is an auto include... Just say in.
    Edit. Now I remember it is called Risen Reef

    I see a lot of upgrade guides for the face commander in decks so it's really cool to see all the 99 commanders you build with instead

      These precons give people lots of options, I like exploring them! glad you're enjoying!

    Definitely picking up this who!e set (preordered like A month ago lol) but this.deck is DEFINITELY my favorite so far. I don't.even think.I'm.gonna.use.Adrix and Nev as a.commander but Allllllll the new.cards in this.deck I LOVE for existing decks.
    I also had a.Sakashima//Kodama deck I was thinking about making a tokens deck and Strixhaven in general definitely pushed up this up the queue on my build.bench

    I know it's kind of a cheap win but biomancer? Have 4 or more at endstep = win

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When I built the deck myself I included this as a wincon. VERY easy to do!

    Boss man. Would you be able to do some sort of Squirrel Tribal EdH with the twin caster at the helm ?

    • @CommanderMechanic

      Hell ya, no reason why not! The hermits in particular are really good!

    Cloven between this and Adrix & Nev... A&N are much easier to keep online with lower cmc and Ward 2. Cloning them with Sakashimas or copying enchantments like Parallel Lives will become insane fast, but Esix might be more variable between games. You never know what you're gonna get with Esix, which is a lot of what I like with The Scarab God

    one more creature i found is Deep Forest Hermit, with 5 CMC it's not really that costly, it creates 4 1/1 Squirrel tokens as ETB and buffs Squirrels with +1/+1.
    It's a great target in itself but you can basically get 4 Copies of the best non-legendary creature currently on the battlefield, granted we control Esix.

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had included both Deep Forest and Deranged in my original list, but when I discovered Deranged Hermit was $50+ I decided to cut them

    • @billcypher564
      @billcypher564 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CommanderMechanic fair enough, i think deep forest hermit was WotC's way of printing a reserved list card. And the vanishing part shouldn't be that big of a deal for Esix.

    Any ideas for a nice tutor? I thought of Tamiyo's Journal, but it seems kinda slow

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are you looking to tutor up? You won't find "Anything" tutors, but depending on your price range there's Worldly Tutor (Creature), Spellseeker (Small Spells) and the Mages (Trinket, Trophy, Tribute, Treasure, etc) for artifacts of various sizes.

    • @vds92
      @vds92 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CommanderMechanic I asked this question because, while I was watching various Quantum Quandrix upgrade videos, I stumbled upon one content creator who said that a commander deck should have at least one tutor. Mind you I am new to the game, especially commander, so that got me thinking and into searching for a good tutor. I am upgrading a Quantum Quandrix deck and from what I've built now and yeah, I was thinking about a "anything" tutor, but Tamiyo's Journal seems slow (although there are some potential synergies). However, I am glad you mentioned Tribute Mage, I see it can get Altar of Dementia (Reef Wurm combo) or Throne of the God-Pharaoh (I often happen to have a two digit number of tokens on the board and tapped), one problem with it is that the deck space is so tight.
