My dealer tries to give me free hats every time he gets new ones in. If I'm buying something that week, I'll take the free hat. But if I'm just browsing, I insist on paying for the hat. Seems a fair deal to me! Lol
My old dealer gave away hats, shirts and them little plastic 6 pack ice chest...The way he seen it. Free advertisement...

Just like he says the tools are only as good as the person who sells em I love my matco dealer therefore I buy matco same with majority of people at my shop no one really likes the snap on guy we all love there tools don’t get me wrong but dealers a shithead so he don’t get the 4K (don’t kmow exact but has to be a lot) payments that my shop throws at our matco guy🤷♂️

Handling rank cattle is some of the most fun a man can have with his clothes on. I used to build pens 9' high out of cypress board, cause it would give when pine would crack.
I like the snap on packaging, lol. I keep all my boxes.
My snap on guy is pretty cool. He does giveaways all the time for $1,000 worth of tools, speakers, hats with purchases of $400 or more. I’ve not seen a tool box, but if you buy a new box you get a massive tv and Nintendo switch with it.

I love my snap on guy, just bought a new roll cart and he gave me a jacket and a hat. Just for a roll cart, blew my mind
I bought a SO just like the one Hamilton is wearing in this video, from him at the meet up. Still like brand new. It is my “sunday” hat. 👍🏻
I drove home from the meet up with a few Snap-On hats, towels, socks, etc….
Had to come back here to tell you what my dealer gave me for Christmas. A Snapon dust pan and broom. LOL

True about the packaging! It gets thrown away immediately. There's some Snap On tools I don't even know what I paid. I just look at my dealer and say, "Is my payment going up or staying the same?". If he replies with "staying the same". I walk out of the truck with it!

I completely switched over to knipex plier sets. But buy them direct ... snap on marks them up another 100 to 150 bucks. They are one of the best in my opinion

My 7" knipex cobras stay in my pocket every day doing water service work. They get used as a hammer for curb box lids atleast once or twice a week and get used on every meter change. They tighten up packing nuts on leaky valves. They are going on 2 years old now and still hold up great. Ive been tempted to keep a 2nd pair of 12" on my truck for plumbing up my brass parts on meter set rebuilds. I honestly dont like standard channel locks anymore. i've been converted.

Had a Holstein heifer climb out an open top trailer one time.
LoL the other day going down the freeway I seen a cow on the other side of the fence and probably 30 seconds later on the other side I seen a state trooper headed its direction so I flashed my lights at him signaling so he could make a u turn that was nearby between the ditches separating N and S bound... After I made my stop about 20 minutes later on my way back up that trooper had got ahold of the farmer and so he was helping slow people down so nothing bad happened.
Maybe "shag green carpeting" could add flair to the packaging?

@@KoonTrucking Yeah I have seen how Nepros does it. That is actually the only time I have really noticed packaging. All I could think is: man the packaging is ridiculous on these things.

Most definitely drinking the corporate kool aid because KNIPEX is the king of pliers. If not why are they sold on EVERY tool truck. Nobody can touch Knipex. Not even close !

Great video as always Clay, I alway get free hats, shirts, jackets, and other promo stuff from the Snap-on dealers, but not from my Matco however he gives me great deals well below list price on tools so I'm good with that.
It's easier to sell when it's out of the box and in your hands. Presentation is quite a bit of the transaction.

I’ve had my Zeus a little while …. It takes a bit to get used to. Get a cart and get a tv ….. I use the scope all the time and it pays for a bigger screen to watch from a little ways back so that way your eyes don’t go all crossed from staring at it
@@outlawengineworks3539 I got the dock, zeus and 27" touch screen monitor package. I'll be upgrading my service cart so I can mount it and make use of the larger monitor. I heard the scope module works when it is undocked is that true?
@@justforkiks29 I don’t have the dock ….. I just kinda have mine on my cart with a 38in monitor attach to the he back of the cart … I use a new Vizio tv cuz It pairs wirelessly to the tv …so I can set it down play with it and watch the broadcast…

I actually like Snap On’s packaging. Has a nice glossy finish with colorful graphics on the outside, pretty thick cardboard stock, and gives the impression somebody placed the tools in it by hand, which has an element of nostalgia to it.
Plus their shrink wrap is high quality. I never see a sealed Snap On product with rips or cracks in the shrink wrap.
Funny you mentioned the package rips haasl tools just posted on his Instagram delivering screwdrivers to a customer and shows the package ripped open from the plastic.
I’ve actually gotten more from a snap on dealer that isn’t even mine than I have from either of my tool dealers

When I got my 14.4 about 12 of them from my old dealer I always got a hat and 3 coats new guy does not have a lot of hats he is to new. He has to pay for that shining new truck.🔧🔧🔧🔧

You guys must have different pounds down there. My son just picked his 4H calf and his was mid sized at 715 lbs. during the club weight in last week. His target slaughter weight is 1400 lbs. by the end of May.

Had a guy stop by our salvage yard where my grandpa is usually at and he ran in yelling about our his cows out and the first thing he said was “I AMOST TURNED YOUR COWS INTO HAMBURGER WITH MAH TRUCK” lol 😂😂 that pissed my grandpa off hearing him say that rather than just saying they are out

My snap on dealer gave me a free jacket. No purchase grant I have spent quite a bit of money on the truck. Then my Marco dealer spent just as much on can’t give me a free hat so I owe Matco 40. Bucks and I’m done with that. Same way up north in Indiana clay everyone wears hats.
