    df3+4 should be replaced by d,df4 : same move but around 10 frames less. Also it can always be followed by ff3 for a mini combo

      Wow big thanks for the suggestion. Just tried it out and it's literally the exact same move, there's not even bonus damage for the extra frames. Do you know why there would be two of the exact same move but one seems to be just better? Could it possibly be to mess up someone's low parry timing?

    • @treznorify
      @treznorify 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@coderJohn actually even in your own video you do it unintentionally because if you do d,df3+4 it registers as d, df4 check your frame data :)
      I'm not sure why it's like this, but this game has a lot of inputs for I think every characters that buff moves if you do a more difficult input so maybe that's it, though the improved version here doesn't seem more difficult to do.

    Dude, these are really helpful! I had a match where I realized my mix ups were reaaaally lacking. And watching pros = skill gap too wide, can’t process these side steps cancels 😩
    But seeing how you lab your Nina was insightful! (And reading these other comments definitely helped, too). Thanks for putting this together and good luck on your MR journey!

    Uf 1, it is a mid, and a launcher on counter, and it lands you in a crouch state so you can do all of your ws attacks, and sometimes on higher levels while you heat dash, smart opponents just crouch and punish whatever you throw at them, that is the time to use uf 1, and surprize them.

    Can opener to side step cancel is a great mid distance attack and it punished low attackers.

    Thank you for the solid overview of moves and strategy. In the future, you may want to edit out your "umm"s. I hope to see more good tekken content from you in the future

      Thank you friend! This was the first video I edited and honestly I didn't expect it to get as many views as it did. I definitely plan on making a new video that's better quality in the future

    Amazing video. Thank you very much. If you find any new cool combos, would you make a combo guide for it?

    • @coderJohn
      @coderJohn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah for sure! There's a link in the description for a more in-depth combo guide on a different channel, but I will definitely make a combo specific guide once I learn more combos and what situations to use them in

    So I just started Nina yesterday. I figured out all this by accident but I focus on Nina chain throws, so learning to side step or hold forward to get grabs helps me.
    Apparently Nina’s movement from Korean back dash and that 1 cancel 1 thing is what some one out of yellow rank is doing. So learn that stuff after you get Nina pokes and combo down.
    Also if you trying to end a round…….
    Mash 4! 😂 your welcome.

      I linked the original combo video I got the combo from in the description.
      The combo I use most is "b1+4, u/f4, u/f3, d/f3 2 3, ff, qcf4 3 1+2" but you can replace "b1+4" with any of the launchers I used in the video. Thanks so much for subscribing

    Hey I know a combo similar to the one you showed thats not too much more difficult and gives you around 97 or so with heat but you get heat every round so its not bad. Heres the notation
    d/b3+4 u/f4 u/f3 d/f3,2 b3+4,3 d/b2 heat start thing d/b2 f1+2 heat dash by holding f during hit then f, f1+2 holding that input as well for more damage.
    Theres no qcf in this so its easier for me to do as a beginner and does good damage. You can do this with d/f2 launcher or d/f3, 2, 3 but thats not always gonna hit. If anyone tries this and thinks the notation is wrong please tell me.

    • @coderJohn
      @coderJohn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a pretty handy combo I'll definitely play around with it thanks for sharing. Your notation looks good to me though you can make your combo a little bit easier instead of going "d/f3,2 b3+4", you can do "d/f3,2 3" and you'll still get the same combo! The whole string would look like
      "d/b3+4 u/f4 u/f3 d/f3,2 *3*, 3 d/b2 heat start thing d/b2 f1+2 heat dash by holding f during hit then f, f1+2"
      I put ** around the different button so you can see it easier

    • @jahsehisntdead9333
      @jahsehisntdead9333 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@coderJohn Respectfully, I disagree, doing d/f3, 2, 3 gets you around like 4 or 5 less damage and requires you to walk forward to hit the d/b2 so it would be easier to just hit the other attack in my opinion.

    • @coderJohn
      @coderJohn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jahsehisntdead9333 So I labbed this longer and you're right! I was confused because I was doing "d/f3 2 b3+4" too fast and getting the "d/f3 2 3" input. The combo I gave you is also impossible because "d/f3 2 3, 3, d/b2" doesn't link. I must have misread it and just been doing "d/f3 2 3, d/b2"
      Once I put a pause between "d/f3 2" and "b3+4 3" I got the right combo. Thanks for being patient and teaching me friend

    • @uzuvibe5420
      @uzuvibe5420 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Half of the annotation is wrong or weirdly used, I’m pretty you meant db 1+2? And b3+4(3) for tornado right ?

    • @jahsehisntdead9333
      @jahsehisntdead9333 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@uzuvibe5420There was a single error in my notation for the b3+4,3 so I fixed it. It wasnt half wrong there was just a single extra space that really doesnt even take away from how to do the combo. I just copied the way the guy did the notation in the video, it wasnt that weird. Also d/b1+2 is not what you should use at all if you meant to use that instead of the f1+2. Ive used this notation a lot dont talk to me like this is wrong.

  • @Him-_-Jones

    What does qcf mean ?

  • @prismtek
    @prismtek 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why isn't the 3rd move of 1, 2, 1 a mid? I mean isn't it essentially the same move as WS 1, 1+2? The logic does perplex me sometimes.

    • @coderJohn
      @coderJohn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lmao I just checked and you're right they're nearly the exact same animation. If you look closely there is a tiny difference where the karate chop lands. for "1 2 1" it's definitely at head level and "WS 1 1+2" the karate chop is at body level.
      I'm going to guess the real reason why "1 2 1" isn't a mid though is for balance purposes, otherwise it would be tougher to punish "1 2 1 1+2"

    • @prismtek
      @prismtek 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@coderJohn Makes sense. Then again, I despise that gun attack of WS1, 1+2. Preferred the original string actually. I have so many criticisms regarding Nina so don't get me started!
