It's the best twin cylinder bike under 4L that sounds awesome. Get a way2speed front suspension kit to fix the front end, dial up the pre-load on the rear shocks by 2 notches, clean the relays with WD 40 and keep an eye on the RR unit. It's a great ride, I wish you many happy miles together.
Hello, Yes it is the best twin cylinder under 4L. Thank you for your suggestions, i will definitely use them and do a video maybe. Same to you brother, wish you many many miles on yours!
Yes! It's a good motorcycle. I've been on motorcycles rain or shine in Michigan for 50+ years. You ride them and love them. You work them and work on them. And love/hate every moment. I'm going to buy one of these Royal Enfield motorcycles. And it will be just fine. J.
Hello! I feel inspired by knowing that you have been riding since 50+ years, I wish to do the same. You have mentioned very correctly that we ride our motorcycles and love them. Please go ahead and do buy a Royal Enfield, it is one of the most iconic brands and their motorcycles have that old world charm in them, I am sure you will love it. All the best!
Hello! Punctures are very much possible and can cause hell especially on spoke wheels due to the weight of the bike. I chose the spoke wheels as they support off-roading better than the alloys. However you have the RSA from RE, they pick up your bike from almost anywhere even if it's a puncture, so you yourself don't have to drag the bike till the puncture shop.
@@cprathu I am seriously considering buying this bike. Spoke wheels go with the retro look but i don't want to go puncture hassles but i guess we have to make some compromises. Also how hard is to maintain engine chrome?
You could have bought the premium touring seat of the gt that looks better and also comfortable, my suggestion would be to change the spokes to alloy with a fat tyre at back and remove the sari guard and change the exhaust to powerage, barrel atom or red rooster this will lower the weight and change the air filter to bmc performance filter this will increase throttle response too this will reduce the engine heat also as the pipes are free flowing exhaust, you can try these options, thank you
Hello! It's not normal I guess, I have ridden some 7000 kms, and 18 hours at one stretch but never got the issue of the tank heating up. Maybe you should get it checked at a service centre.
Thank you so much for your feedback brother, glad you liked it. The LED headlights and the new switch gears come as a part of the 2024 stock bike. It does have a hazard switch too.
@@cprathu yes I know about latest updated 650 twins.... but did you got these from the showroom?? And how much did these cost?? The led headlight and the switches
Hello, Since I bought the updated 2024 interceptor, i didn't have to purchase the LED and the switches separately, they already came with the stock bike. However the bike cost me around 3.6lac on road Pune.
Hello, The engine heat issue persists on highways too. I have tried wearing regular shoes for highway rides but just after 50-60 kms, the heat gets unbearable for your ankles and shin. It's best to wear high boots for your travel in the city or highways.
3000 kilometers is nothing. Put 20,000 miles on the bike and then report on it. That bike should have hydraulic valve adjustment and belt drive like my Sportster has. All l have to do is change the fluids and filter in 30 minutes in my driveway. No messy chain to deal with or valves to adjust. 2 money makers for the dealers. My Sportster has 400,000 miles on the original engine. RE says rebuild at 65,000 miles. Not good in my opinion.
Your bike seems boring , grab a exhausts , red rooster throw those stock exhausts n become young again add clip ons , a single seat if u don’t hav a girl see the true power of 650 twins n review again . U will be amazed .
Hello, Thank you for your advice, I am thinking of getting the red roosters but maybe after a year or so. I shall definitely review it again once I get them👍
If he wanted clip ons and a sore back surely he’d have bought the Continental GT? The touring seat is excellent and not everyone wants to go deaf with a loud exhaust, but a different air filter is useful. One thing that bike is not is boring, I’m on my second and over 50 000 km. I’ve bigger, lairier bikes, but this is a lot of fun.
@@johnhill8529 hello, yes the touring seat is actually good. Great to know you have done 50k+ km on it, looking ahead to marking them on my odometer too
One of the very best ownership review of interceptor 650. Very neat presentation.
Thank you so much brother, glad you liked it🙏

You called this bike as a city bike. While most RE salespersons tell to buy the Interceptor only if you do highways frequently.
Hello,
It's a roadster bike. They are made for city roads with moderate distance of highway travel.
I observed when the engine heats up the fuel tank also gets hot. Is this normal ?

Where did you buy this seat ?
Hello,
I got this touring seat from the royal enfield dealership itself. It's a recently launched one, i don't think it's available online yet.
Informative❤❤❤
Is the heat issue in city only? What about travelling on highway?

Hello,
These seats are available at the dealerships, not yet on the website.
clearly penned down.. good work..
Thank you so much brother 🙏
Is this bike value for money?
Hello,
Yes the bike is totally worth the money. Where else do you get a 650 cc engine with a twin cylinder at this price?🙂
@@cprathu Thankyou bro😊
