Sarsaparilla and dandelion & burdock are more or less the same thing - take the fizziness out of dandelion & burdock and you get sarsaparilla - in fact sarsaparilla & soda is what the Americans call dandelion & burdock!
@ The first time I ever tried sarsaparilla, it took several mouthfuls before I recognised the taste - and it reminded me of dandelion & burdock without the fizz - although I had only ever drunk Lowcock’s dandelion & burdock, so I only had that to fall back on - Lowcock’s was a locally-based lemonade company in my area that used to come round the houses with a truck!
Finally solved the mystery of the Pig Producers Monthly. Although we aren't as naiive as Rita and Mavis! 😂

Dunno what sarsaparilla you've been drinking, but it has a very different flavour to dandelion and burdoch
