The 8-Bit Big Band is a 30 member Jazz/pops orchestra that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best themes from video game music written from all consoles and eras! Blending together themes from Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, PC, and more and then re-arranging in genres and styles of all musical inspirations for big band or pops orchestra instrumentation and orchestration.

I've honestly listened to this well over a hundred times and to this very moment this song still brings me to tears of joy. Everything about this arrangement down to the visuals is an absolute delight.

I think one of the greatest things about these arrangements is how the melodies remain strong and visible. I think sometimes arrangements go too far from the original.

I'm actually crying uncontrollably to this. I don't know what any of the japanese means, but hearing "You're lonely, rolling star" sounds like someone recognizing what's wrong and reaching out to help me be less lonely, offering friendship. It's something I could really use right about now

This song really does contain those kinds of bittersweet feelings. As far as I know, the original singer/writer's best friend passed away, and she wrote this song, about someone encouraging you to just keep on rolling, and that person will be waiting for you at the end of your journey. I think we all have someone like that. And now I'm crying haha!
Very late in, but the lyrics are very bittersweet as well. ^^ The singer is telling somebody they love that its okay to chase their dreams and they'll still support them and cheer them on..but at the same time the singer misses them and hopes the loved one comes back to visit ("don't forget to call me, okay?").
It's a song about loving people and supporting them and missing them that somehow perfectly translates from the music alone even if you don't know the lyrics and I'm not crying it's just the wind.
I love how you can see everyone smiling as they play/sing their way through this incredible arrangement.
I always loved the original track but this version has become my favorite, its arranged so well and the performers/production make it such a joy to watch!

I'm in absolute awe. This game made up the majority of my childhood, having one of my favorite game soundtracks to this day. No piece of music I've ever listened to has given me the uncontrollable SOBBING that this one has, and it's an experience I thought people only exaggerated having. You've created something completely ethereal in my heart and mind, and as a musician I can't be more impressed. Thank you for your hard work, all of you.
Arranging for the big band (with strings) and keeping the Japanese lyrics...love it!!!!! As a Japanese who loves jazz and enjoys too much about jazz arranging and video production, I enjoyed everything about this video, including alphabetizing of Japanese lyrics!!!! Great job!!!!!!
I can not imagine how much of a nightmare it was to edit the rolling objects. The amount of video tracks you’d need is insane and you have to keyframe all of that whilst adding new ones. Nightmarish. Congrats editor!
