The 440i has more than enough power so just buy the next model up. I’ve had mine for 5 months now. I love it. Super comfy to drive and I ignore the haters who comment about the grill. Who looks at the grill when you’re inside the car? Most haters can’t afford it anyway!
Who looks at the grill when you're inside the car? Lol, that's like saying it doesn't matter what you look like-how you dress or have your hair cut-because you only look at yourself in the mirror a few times a day.
I own a 430i Convertible. I have notice the haters that say they were never buy one because of the grill have also never owned a BMW period. Get the sports with extended shadowline trim so the whole grill is black. My state requires a front plate that breaks it up. Great car....some days I wish I had the M440i. I own the Portimao Blue as this video and it is awesome.
The haters hate it because it's a bmw. Which means reliability is terrible, the worst of the German brands. The interiors are carry over from a decade old design. And you still pay 20k more than something better from Genesis
Convertible hard tops don’t actually give protection in an accident. And in this new 4 Series, there’s a hard layer in the “soft” top that can’t be cut by a knife.
Every review I have watched the reviewer wants to talk about how a lot of people hate the front grill. I don't get it. I think the large front grill and the shape is great and sets the 4 series apart from others. I think the front grill makes the car look like a fighter jet.
Good video!! Thought i’d add that it does have remote start (or at least it’s an option…) but it’s not always obvious as they never put the button on the key fob. I believe you push the lock button 3 times
The multiple seconds before the car pulls out is not turbo lag. It is built into the car to buffer an improper input and also for fuel economy. The result is like an old carburetor vehicle. Instantly smashing the accelerator pedal to the floor does not give the fastest acceleration. The key in the old cars and some new ones is to follow the engine power up with accelerator pedal at least for the start out. Get the engine off of idle with a little but hefty amount of pedal then it will come alive. Give 1/4 throttle off the line then go to full throttle quickly but not just an instantaneous stomp to the floor. I have one of these cars and it rips for a car doing 40+mpg on the highway.
I love the new grill design… minus the lisence plate plastered smack in the middle. I bought a 23 430i xDrive Gran Coupe in the Sunburst Orange and black Shadowline trim! Breautiful and aggressive looking! Plenty of power out of the 4-turbo and nearly 40 mpg on the highway too!
the M badges are about the sport package it has. It wouldn't have those without the sport package... that means the car you have has the ungraded suspension etc... The Leather on the seats if for long term durability, Remote start is an option as well as the ventilated seats.. it's as if you didn't look at the options for the car... The one to get is the m440i... faster and better exhaust tones.
I still have my old 2016 BMW 428xi convertible, it's got only 11,557 miles on it, I can't imagine getting rid of it for the new models with the soft top, although the new ones are pretty cool
Ben - M is not a car/model it is an accesory package made up of various high performance items. The same is true for Mercedes AMG. It is not misleading to put M accesories on any BMW with the M badge showing. Your car does in fact have M sport rims, M steering wheel, M brake pads, M seats, etc. These are performance upgrades, it is a good thing, not a bad thing and it is not misleading.
Steering wheel is the M sport package tho lol hence why you get the badges. Comes in a 330 as well same way if you get that option. Car does 5.5 0-60 lol that's plenty fast and keep in mind bmw isn't known for over the top luxury it's more about performance which I'm sure you know of. Yes some options should come standard but most cars have you pay for cooling seats not all but most. You're paying for the brand more than anything
I have a Z4 with same leather on the seats, and I agree that they are an inferior type of leather, basically no different from man made ones. However, you should realise that this is a BMW and nothing is for free - you CAN opt for the super smooth Nappa Leather for $4000, and you CAN get the more powerful straight six for a few $000 more, so it is NOT right for you to complain here, having paid ONLY $60k! I knew the grille would be 1 of the 5 dislikes you would mention - but why did you buy it then if you don't like it? I personally hate those who make so much about this new grille design - in what way is it ugly?? I find it extremely pleasing and better than the horizontal one on my Z4! Talking about the Z4, I find the interior - even the door handles - 99% same as your 430! Come on BMW, why an earth you guys have adopted this cookie cutter approach to car design? My Z4 already has the same engine as every other BMW, I want it to be special - but it's not! With the roof down, owners of the cheap 118i can see that my car costs about 2x and it has the same interior!!! In that regard Audi definitely does better, at least the TT doesn't look like anything else in the VW Group! My next Roadster would be a Porsche, for it's the only way to get something genuinely authentic, without sharing anything with other cars in the VW Group!!
No German cars have the "remote start". The video implies that it's BMW's fault. I had this vehicle as my rental car for my most recent vacation and LOVED it.
Too bad that you have to put that ugly license plate on the front. It ruins the looks of the grill and the whole front end. I would not live in a state that requires a front plate for that reason alone. Most modern cars are not designed around a front plate and it just ruins the front of any car.
The front grill looks great. Took some time but it has grown on me. Reminds me of my my old 2002 Trans am.

By far the biggest negative is getting rid of the hard top convertible - the are quieter, safer in an accident and more protective against break ins.
Convertible hard tops don’t actually give protection in an accident. And in this new 4 Series, there’s a hard layer in the “soft” top that can’t be cut by a knife.
The reason I bought it was the grill

Press the BMW on the key fob three times and it should remote start

I think the front would look nicer if the license plate was much lower on the grille and not smack dab in the middle.

The new 4 series is a nice grill.. it has a nice car too!
It's kind of sad that huge grilles are a thing nowadays.
it confused me seeing the plate then looking up your driving in Utah. I have a house in Sandy. how is it in the snow?

Great looking car. I would just want to know how long turbo engine is going to last without problems?

The 2005 M3 was the BMW I will always love
If you want more power you need the M440i.

Yeah im plqnning to buy this for my wife but dunno whether I should but the 8 or 4
Does it have adaptive cruise control? Coming from a Lincoln, this might be a deal breaker.
Driving Assistant Professional is an option, and it not only brakes and accelerates, it can steer too.
Don't forget convertible add 225 kg weight than coupe so if u look for performance in 430 forget convertible

BMW 430I that car is so awesome like it beautiful hot blue color
It has the M badges because it’s equipped with the M sport package, The badge on the back isn’t there because it’s not an M car.
What does “i” stand for ? Anyone have the answer.
injection
Congratulations to the people are early and are able to see this comment. Thanks.

I’ll sell my kidney to BMW to put on their car so I can get one for free
