Tuve la hermosa experiencia de tocar 2 veces Coppelia en mis tiempos de estudiante con la sinfónica de la facultad de música y artes de la universidad autónoma de Tamaulipas; la primera vez en el 2004, y la segunda vez en el 2006, en la sección de cuerdas (violín). Acompañamos a una muy prestigiada academia de ballet de la zona y me remonté a aquellos tiempos... Ubico perfecto la mazurka, el solo de violín, ahhh.. gracias por compartir y felicidades a todos los grandes artistas de la escena como lo son estos grandes maestros del ballet.
The costumes are so perfect they're like a quilt, coordinated so nicely. The whole tapestry is gorgeous. This is one of my favorite ballets because I adore the music. I think I first saw it at age 3, and by then I had listened to the music so much I had it memorized. Then to see the magic of the ballet performed to that music made me a lifetime fan of ballet!
The very good quality of french ballet of the Opéra de Paris .
Also the French are very visual and great at spectacles like this one. Plus the composer is French!
This ballet is the "BEST OF THE BEST"!!!! INCREDIBLE and REMARKABLE.
Charline Giezendanner (Swanilda) and Mathieu Ganio (Frantz) are GREAT!!! She is a very beautiful girl ♥ and he is a very handsome boy♥.
The other dancers are amazing and the orchestra absolutely fantastic.
All together did an unforgettable show. Thank you very much for sharing all your great talent.!

Cela me rappelle lorsque je faisais partie de l'harmonie de mon village, Coppelia était au répertoire, j'avais 14 ou 15 ans.
Beautiful. Ballet is one of the most graceful dance. 😊Whenever anyone tells me that they want to be an actor or model I always them to take some ballet lessons so that they will have an awesome body posture.

It's the genuine French Coppélia created by a 16 year old ballerina, thanks to Pierre Lacotte who worked hard to rebuild it, great ballets lover and so talanted choreographer.

I forgot to mention it, but maybe it's common knowledge, that Guiseppina Bozzacchi who created the role died the following year of smallpox added to starvation during the Siege of Paris on the day of her 17th birthday.
Fortunately Paris' balletomanes on these days were very fond of Italian artists and it took time to find Bozzaccchi : in the meantime a French ballerina, Léontine Beaugrand, rehersed her part and so, the ballet could be danced after Bozzacchi's death, a really rare fact during the 19th century.
Being too poor, or due to the circumstances, Bozzacchi was thrown into the mass grave in Montmartre cimetary, so she has no personnal grave there, Beaugrand has one, not far from Arthur Saint-Léon's.
Pierre Lacotte had seen the genuine choreography when he was a "petit rat", and recreated it all in 1974, giving Franz's role to a male dancer. The three first couples were
Ghislaine Thesmar - Michaël Denard (who are available in this ballet on TH-cam), Noëlla Pontois - Cyril Atanassoff and Christiane Vlassi - Jean-Pierre Franchetti.
