I love how you’re just short of 30k subs but (in my opinion) you make much better knives than the big youtubers like Miller knives or jake’s custom. Absolutely beautiful little knife. One of your best.
It looks like a modification of a "saddle stitch"; saddle stitches don't go over the edge, but are a consistant line like two running stitches would be if they were offset.
you first make the holes then with a lone thick thread and needle you thread one needle threw the bottom hole then you thread both needles threw the same hole , one going to the left other to the right and keep them tight
I realy enjoyed this video. It is nice how you show us every step in making this beautiful knife with relative simple tools. I think the knife turned out realy nice! Thanks
Beautiful work. One thing - the point where the tang and the blade meets should always be rounded, and not squared off. It is a weak spot where cracks may start to form.
I love you man. Because you love your job thank u and u have to make your store on shopify that will be better i want buy one but u dont have your store anyway thank u again
Really outstanding. Well presented. What wood is the sheath? And is that a round leather thong that you used on the gusset? I have never seen that technique before. Very cool!
Can you do a video on making the jig that you use when you are creating the face and Edge of the blades on the green band saw it's like a little u-shaped stocks with springs and pins in it looks like it sets the angle for you well keeping it flat and straight on the bench
How long will it last if its actually used everyday since its just stuck in with epoxy? Pretty knife, just wonder about the design and if it will hold up to being used as a knife.
Knifemaker here, epoxy is incredibly strong stuff, if anything the handle material would come apart before the epoxy does. Its a small hidden tang knife so its not really going to get abused for chopping or batoning, but rather be used as a cutting instrument. Hope this helps.
@@ricodvorsky3844 yes it does, thank you. I've always made full tang and I like the looks of hidden tang, just didn't know about the epoxy. Thanks for responding.
@@johnmichaels4330 No worries, glad i could help! I dont make anything with a hidden tang if its larger than a hunting knife. Bowie, choppers, etc. all should have at least a throughtang with a pommel or nut at the end or a full tang.
very nice, very eye appealing and much better than anything I could do. However, I believe you lost me by taking the horn down to white. If you wanted bone white use bone. You lost all the character of the horn. Just my humble opinion. Still very nice piece.

Your leather working skills are amazing. Does anyone know what kind of stitch he was using?
It looks like a modification of a "saddle stitch"; saddle stitches don't go over the edge, but are a consistant line like two running stitches would be if they were offset.

Nice piece of art that is shaped sort of like a knife.
Chef- d'oeuvre.........
That is a clever design!! Just beautiful. What if you felt lined the sheath and added a super light oil to the felt.
Блин,я болею от твоего рукоделия, однозначно лайк.
I realy enjoyed this video. It is nice how you show us every step in making this beautiful knife with relative simple tools. I think the knife turned out realy nice! Thanks

What kind of string are you using to stitch that up, it's cool looking, thanks.
Did you heat treat the blade?
Шикарно, молодчина.

I agree about the antler being ground down to white, but also - you're right, it has great visual appeal.
Beautiful.
Beautiful
You are truly an artist!!! I would like to make grinding jig similar to the one you used in this video. Would you share some close up pictures?
Hi, you can check out this video where I created this bevel jig

You sanded all the beauty off of the horn?!
Beautiful work! What was that dark wood you used for the sheath?
it was bog oak
Very impressive, now I know why hand made is so expensive.
