Hey Zanza! Couple of quick questions. How long you've been using this monitor and what's your daily average usage. :D I got this monitor in november, but I'm mostly concerned with burn in. Don't have any yet, though. It's amazing. :D
Hey bros, been using mine since August :) It's basically on from the point of waking up until I go to bed. I use it for everything, such as gaming, media/browsing, and work. Same way i would with any regular monitor. Since they come with 3 years cover, I won't be limiting my enjoyment by babysitting the screen. I have my taskbar always visible. Those generic windows 11 wallpapers on rotation. Auto pixel refresh disabled and screen set to sleep when AFK for 15m. Weather itd be no life grinds on mmos or long editing sessions, I'm basically dealing with static ui's all day lol. Still looking as solid as it did when I first got it 👍
Hey, I did get myself the AW3423DWF and I just wanne get some infos on the burn in thing of oleds. Do you got any problems so far? What are your use cases, do you use anything to counter burn in liklyhood ?
No probelms at all in regards to burn in my friend. I have been using the screen as i would any regular monitor since i purchased it last August. My days have always consisted of long hours editing and unhealthy gaming sessions so im not about to start babysitting a screen now xD The only counter protection i use is the pixel refresh. Ive disabled the auto refresher from obnoxiously appearing mid task and have applied the settings where my screen will sleep after 10m of afking. So basically now what happens after 4 hours of use has gone by, as soon as i go afk or shut my screen off, the power button starts pulsing green letting me know the pixel refresh is doing its thing.
Cheers fam and grats on the DWF, you're going to love it! On my display I'm using the standard preset and HDR400. Contrast and brightness 75% And for windows, Both HDR and Auto HDR with the SDR sliders at 36% on windows 11
Using these, my friend: Philips Hue LightStrip amzn.asia/d/cHCjBan You can also use the rgb at the back of the screen at the same time. Mine is still on, but it's not that bright in comparison.
have you got by any chance led type monitor to compare the colours? btw are you playing the game in HDR? if so, have you changed your setting for HDR in game?
I did my friend and the colours were that bad overall when comparing to the qd oled that i had to get another aw3423dw to use as a second screen as it just felt off to me lol. HDR is on and I don't change anything in-game. Mainly just let windows 11 AUTO-HDR do its thing. Im very lazy when it comes to calibration.

I'm considering to buy this monitor especially for diablo 4. What is your experience with it? Also, how do you feel about the widescreen aspect ratio with diablo? It seems that you can see further and also you can teleport/leap further. It's kind of an amazing advantage.
It's been an incredible experience, I highly recommend it. 21:9 is game changer on most titles but especially Diablo, for sure! Teleport does feel satisfying since you can see more of the game world, which can also be helpful in spotting enemies and loot. Additionally, the wider aspect ratio can make it easier to navigate the game's interface, such as menus or inventory screens. Mix in those visual improvements from QD-OLED and no other experience comes close to this, my friend. Best of luck!
Anytime, my friend! You will not be disappointed. The technology is on another level entirely. You will see what I mean once its setup infront of you. You will never go back to the standard, 16:9 IPS/VA Congrats gamer and thanks for sharing 🙌
If you want to buy it buy the dwf model. It is cheaper and better. I've had it for a month now and its really great. If you buy it for desktop use you should use dark mode because qd-oleds seem to tend to burn in on static white content. Also you will have some color fringing on text. Just want you know before buying
Been thinking about buying this monitor to play Diablo 4 on but I heard that some of those monitor get weird screen flicker when g sync is on . Do you have any issues with that?
Nah fam, I got my screen in August last year, and it's been perfect since. Pretty sure that was a first release issue that has been corrected. Hey fam, everything has been great up until now. It's become a love - hate relationship. Still love the technology behind the panel, but the panel itself has started to play up on me only 8 months in from purchase. Every time I want to use it after being AFK, I have to remove the power cable for 10 seconds. It's very annoying. The settings I've been using are the factory settings: HDR400 standard preset Contr/bright 75% SDR/HDR both enabled on Windows 11 SDR 35% Nvidia 8bit, 175hz I can't say I had any issues with brightness, tho. The pixel refresh tools built into these monitors activate when you AFK long enough from the PC. That's basically all I've used as a counter measure.
Definitely wouldn't sleep on these game-changers. The experience is seriously on another level, Ive added a second one to use as a vertical monitor.

You got this man, best of luck!!
In game settings please!
Res 3440x1440
HDR on
DLSS off
Max Quality settings.
I'm looking to get the same monitor. Would a 3080 be enough to play smoothly on it?
For the most part, asbsolutely fams. Once I started messing with RTX in certain games, my performance struggled and made me want to upgrade.
disable vertical sync, and your fps will jumps to 300 or higuer(like my game). And believes, that's a huge diference betweeen 60, 144 and 240fps.
hey nice monitor you have there, possible to post some content like web browsing ? really wanna see the text in this monitor when it is not gaming, thanks!
Cheers fam, can certainly look into something like that for you, np. Currently in the middle of some setup upgrades at the moment, so stay tuned!
@@zanzatectake your time. thanks for reply.
it would nice to showcase both white text in black background and black text in white background.
@Wing Pak Yip No worries, my friend. This is a great idea, and I appreciate all the suggestions. Thanks again!
This looks sick! I'm watching on my laptop screen but even then I can tell how much pop and contrast this monitor has. It looks ridiculous! I really want this monitor but I'm freaked out about burn in. I'll be playing Diablo 4 mostly and I worry about static HUD elements like the health globes and skill bar burning into the screen.
Haha cheers man, watch it on your phone for an ever better OLED experience.
I will say my friend I've had the screen since August. Never babysat monitors before. I'm not about to start with this. PC/Monitor is used all day every day until it's time for bed.
Static UI's from degenerate MMO grinds or long hour edits on Adobe Premier, and this thing still looks as good as new.
I've seen the way my friends have been abusing their OLED TVs for years now, and that shit still looks great.
You also get 3 years burn-in cover with Dell, which is pleanty for me since I'll most likely upgrade to the next best thing anyway xD
That being said, I don't think I'll ever go back to 16:9 IPS / VA after this
Best of luck!
@@zanzatecis VA really that bad? I just upgraded from a TN panel with 900:1 contrast ratio to a VA Ultrawide with 3000:1. I get that oled blacks are tough to beat but from what I understand VA is the next best thing if you’re looking for deep blacks
Nah its not fams, just the ones i owned wernt anything special. Also didnt look as good for me joined to the OLED as a second screen.
best setup i seen i think this monitor is better than the lg 240hz 45 inch its perfect for gaming 45 might be too big for computer desktop gaming
Cheers bros, that was basically the mindset. Would be like having a TV on your desk at that point. Even with a deep custom-desk, it'd be a bit much for me personally.
Please if you find time any chance for a longer bf2042 upload? 15-20 mins if that's not too much hassle as I enjoyed the gameplay you put out for it but just too short hehe 🙏
That's my bad gamer. The next bf vid ill edit with in-game sound and make them longer for sure!
The only reason I keep them short is because the audio can get a little messy when being recorded out of a speaker. Pleanty more updates on the way, so keep posted, my friend 🫡
Man I would freak out playing this game it takes hours to get good off the static images on an oled ooof
3 years burn-in cover and new panels around the corner, thats the last thing on my mind homie. Just going to enjoy the tech without limits.
tftcentral.co.uk/news/monitor-oled-panel-roadmap-updates-march-2023
I just bought the dwf model. Hope it looks comparable
It'll look even better once set up in front of you compared to a compressed video on youtube, my friend :)
@Zanza I have mine set up as of today. Not sure what settings I need to adjust on the display itself and my pc. Any advice?
I've used out of the box / factory settings on my panel since I set mine up. Never felt the need to change it.
HDR400, standard preset
Bright/Contr 75%
HDR/SDR both enabled on Windows 11
SDR 36%
175hz 8bit Nvidia settings.
Never been into calibration but if that's your thing I've read you can get it to look even better.
You won't be disappointed my friend, best of luck!
@Zanza really appreciate the info. I'll factory reset mine and maybe upgrade to windows 11 now. Can't wait tobplay d4 on it, especially after playing on a 27". The ultrawide makes it so much better.
@lain4231 Win 11 has better HDR options definitely recommend, fams.
I agree, ultrawide is an absolute game changer, I don't think I'll ever go back to the standard 16:9 crap again.
Happy to help my friend, u got this!
Dude.. I just got my ultra wide monitor, but I want to see what your setup looks like zoomed out! 🎉🎉🎉 I have the neo G8 OLED.. hope we can still be friends 😂
Hahah absolutely, no fan boys here!! Welcome to the ultrawidemasterrace, my guy 🙌
I'm currently in the middle of some setup upgrades, but you can see some pics following the link in the description fams.
Legend! Cheers for watching 🍻
@@zanzatec All is well dude! For some reason youtube ain't sending me reply notifications.. doh! What are you playing until the release of D4? I can't wait for it to come out..
@@Markness Yo no stress fams, im pretty active here. Hmu anytime!
Honestly i cant play anything rn, im in that zone where nothing will satisfy until D4 comes out lmao!
Casually grinding some new world atm and then hit up some rounds of CS when the boys get on, mainly just waiting on parts to arrive to finish my setup.
@@zanzatec Preaching to the choir! I haven't found anything that has satisfied that itch for D4. I played RE4 and it is an awesome game, I have re-installed some games and then I get to it them and eh... games like Last Epoch/PoE, everyone is praising them, but I play them and quickly get bored. D4 was something else, and I can't wait for it to come out.
@Mark M Nice bros, im actually hanging to play RE4 once my desk mount arrives. That's something I can get myself fully immersed in for sure.
Finally looking this on my new ALIENWARE 3242DWF ! :D second day testing him.
Haha enjoy my broo!! Happy gaming!
@@zanzatec Hey again. i have a QUESTION. like i said, monitor arrived and i am so happy. Its unbelieveable panel, beautiful colors, dark etc.. BUT. how many fans monitor has ? 1 or 2 ? one fan is so loud in quiet room :/ during browsing internet i am so mad.....
@Timotej Labuda They only have 1 fan. The DW has 2.
I mean, they're gaming monitors, bro - made for gamers, you know this already. Maybe u can open a window or play some music while u browse ?
Like I said, I have 13 fans inside my PC, so i can't understand how one single fan is bothering you that much. Maybe contact support and request a refund while you're still within 30 days?
Sorry to hear that, my friend.
@@zanzatec I have 10 fans. but not whinning/whistling coils :( but fan in monitor have whinning/whistling coils
Yeh that isn't normal my friend, i would definitely contact support. Very unfortunate. They will send you a replacement if you request it!
do you play in hdr or sdr?
Sure do fam, on screen settings are:
HDR400
Standard preset
75% brightness and contrast
Windows 11 settings:
HDR enabled
Auto HDR on
SDR 36%
I have 4090 As well , I was looking to upgrade my Ultra wide monitor but Burn in issue is scaring me.
Currently i switch to my 65inch Oled LG TV when i want 4k gaming.
I wouldnt sleep on it my friend, the oled technology has come along way. Ive been using mine as i would any monitor since I purchased it back in August.
Unhealthy gaming grinds and long editing sessions, this thing is always running and still looks good as new.
They also come with 3 years burn-in cover incase the tech doesnt hold up but ill most likely upgrade should something better come out by then anyway.
hoooly this looks good
Imagine once it's polished with the proper lighting and textures 😍
Will you be checking out the open beta, fams??
im finally getting my rtx 4080 fe tomorrow
Yo nice one fam! Going to be perfect for the DWF 🙌 Congrats!
HDR?
HDR400
AutoHDR on
SDR 36%
Could you do Starcraft 2? Always interested to see how it would fare on such a beastly monitor. It is F2P, so no cost for you.
Classic! Can check it out for you fams, np
i think you should retry the diablo 4 game again as the fixes will be applied to diablo 4 in the server slam
Great suggestion, my friend! Will certainly be checking that one out for sure!
Hope you've been well!
Me do 150 fps on 5800x+ 4080 :)
I am afraid the game's fixed UI will burn in your screen as time goes by...
Diablo would be awesome if it was 3rd person
Ya only 1400 unless you have a gaming channel
Damn, I paid $2400aud for mine bro xD
game looks really good on a Wide screen monitor
